"Got the salmon sashimi bento w/ chicken teriyaki and ton katsu. The order was for takeout, and everything was well packaged and accurate. The tempura was 8/10, the chicken teriyaki was 8/10, the ton katsu was 8.5/10, and the sashimi was 7.5/10. The salad had some very tasty cold noodles on it and came with a good dressing, making it the surprise hit of the meal (8.5/10). Their bento boxes might be one of the best deals for a good Japanese dinner around. Will be back soon."

"Struggled a bit with how to review this here. On one hand, the quality of the fish is clearly head and shoulders above your average sushi restaurant. It 's outstanding quality. On the other hand, the prices definitely reflect it. It 's like 9.95 for a regular little tekka roll, for example, compared to like 5-7 anywhere else. I wish I had been better warned ahead of time; Yelp 's price guide is DEFINITELY wrong. They 've taken the combination dinners off the menu, which they have a sign about due to short-staffing as well as apparently all the teriyaki and similar grilled entrees which there is no sign about . I also wouldn 't recommend the tempura- Yelp photos showing the fluffy panko style are now out of date and they 're now using the heavier like carnival-fried-food style. Updated photo attached. TL;DR: stick with the fish, probably special occasions only or when you want to impress an out-of-town guest."

"This restaurant never fails to impress me, and I find myself dining here weekly. The parking is convenient, and the location is easy to find. The staff is friendly and provides prompt service, even during peak hours. No matter how busy it gets, the servers always check in on you. I haven't tried a dish from the menu that I haven't enjoyed. Today, I had the Chicken Karaage rice bowl, Umai Tomyum Ramen bowl, Chicken Karaage bun, and Thai iced tea. I would recommend all of these dishes without hesitation, although I should mention that the Umai Tomyum Ramen may not be for everyone due to the whole mushrooms. The restaurant's ambiance is beautiful and understated, reflecting a mix of cultures. I recall having a conversation with the owner, who shared that they opened just as COVID began, so it's amazing to see them not just surviving but thriving. And definitely don't forget to leave a tip!"

"We were so lucky to have gotten seats before the crowd came for dinner, we stopped by on a week night during the week around 630pm and it was greatService was slow because they had a large group take away order. But overall, the wait was worth it! I've been wanting curry for sometime. I was skeptical about eating salmon with curry because it isn't common, however, I was significantly pleased that the salmon wasn't dry it was cooked to perfection, didn't taste fishy in my opinion.The brown rice was also cooked well. There is street parking parking structure on Channing. Also, if you're concerned medium isn't very spicy. Overall, if you're craving Japanese curry, I'd recommend that!"

"I have been a loyal fan of murracci for almost 10 years since I discovered it. Having spent years in Japan, I can confidently say that they used to serve the best katsu curry in America. I make it a point to dine there at least 3-4 times whenever I am in the city. However, my recent visit was a letdown. It seems like there may have been a change in management as the food was not up to par. I gave it a second chance the next day, but the quality was still lacking. It is possible that there are new chefs in the kitchen. I will give it another try in a few months, but I am disappointed in the decline of their food quality. I hope it was just a one-time bad week for them."
