"Let’s start with the fries: they were at room temperature, lacked salt, were dry, and overcooked, clearly having been left out for a while due to the low traffic. Some were so crunchy they reminded me of those shoestring fries—extremely crunchy throughout. It felt like they had been reheated in a toaster oven multiple times. For $4, I received a box that was only three-quarters full (see the attached picture). I ended up adding the leftover fries from the bottom of the bag, which was all I got.
A word of advice: If you’re waiting on two sandwiches, don’t grab the fries and then stand at the sandwich counter for four minutes while they get cold in the bag.
Now, about the spicy chicken sandwich: At first glance, it looked appetizing and well-breaded, which I thought compensated for the subpar fries. However, upon taking a bite, I found stringy bits that I had to keep separating, making me wonder if it had been thawed and refrozen or simply not cooked properly. It was disappointing.
Next was the double 1/4 pound cheeseburger, which I assumed would be hard to mess up, but I was mistaken. It lacked seasoning—it seemed like they just sprinkled some salt on it. I had been to another location where the flavors were much better. Moreover, the burger left a strange metallic aftertaste. I couldn’t tell if it was the meat or something else, and while the burger appeared to be thoroughly cooked, a family member suggested the grill might not have been clean, hence the metallic flavor.
As for condiments, they only had one cup available, whereas I usually receive three during the COVID era since they typically only put a single slice of tomato in each sandwich. This particular issue was not as significant as the others, but it didn't help. I understood it was the end of the day, and they probably had prepped the sandwiches early in the morning before refrigerating them.
Overall, this visit was a total disappointment—a less-than-stellar first experience at this location. I’m torn about whether to give them another chance during the daytime. Based on my past experiences, the quality tends to decline during the last hours of operation at various locations. It can be quite frustrating to spend $16 each time and constantly gamble on the quality of what was once advertised as "High-Quality Fast Food." I’ve expressed my concerns about this in the past."
