"For appetizers, we enjoyed the Crab Balls, which were perfectly cooked and not overly seasoned. My husband loved them so much that he unknowingly ate more than he thought. I ordered the Pineapple-A-Colada, served in a frozen pineapple shell, which was a refreshing and tasty drink. My only small critique was that I would have preferred it to be less creamy. However, it was still a delightful summer beverage. My husband opted for the Bacon Jam Burger with house-made Bourbon bacon jam, smoked gouda, and spinach, and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the combination turned out to be. The truffle Mac N Cheese served as a side was the perfect accompaniment to his meal. I chose the Flounder Tacos with minimal salt, and Becky ensured the fish was cooked perfectly despite the reduced seasoning. The portion was generous, and I was sufficiently filled from just one taco due to the flavorful pineapple drink. The chips and salsa that accompanied the tacos were presented in whole pieces and tasted fresh.
The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere with charming decorations and attentive employees ensuring cleanliness. Even though some menu items were unavailable, our dining experience was wonderful. We are excited to return soon to try Felix's Famous Steam Pot. Overall, we give Felix Cafe a perfect 5 out of 5 rating based on our exceptional experience."
