Grilled Halloumi Cheese: Savory and golden-brown cheese slices, grilled to perfection, with a satisfyingly salty flavor.

"The wraps were delicious, although I'm surprised that they don't offer a traditional gyro. Their gyro is more like shawarma. However, the Beef/Lamb Kebob Wrap, which has a meatball-like texture, is flavorful and tasty. I would definitely order from here again."

"I had a wonderful farewell meal at this Mediterranean restaurant. The falafel was flavorful, and the lamb gyro was delightful, accompanied by fresh salad and tomatoes. The baklava for dessert was enjoyable, not overly sweet or sticky like some I've tried before. It's a unique option in this area."

"It seems this restaurant changed names and so we decided to give it a try. We had reservations at 630pm and when we got there the place had only 3 occupied tables and till we left at 830pm (that's how long the service took) there...was 4 occupied tables. So basically a fancy looking place with fancy prices but hardly no people. The young waiter was pleasant, polite and entertaining, however the service was very slow. We ordered a Ceasar salad as an entree at $9.00 which was ridiculously looking. 4 romaine lettuce stems drizzled with ceasar dressing and 3 croutons and the taste was just ok. My main meal was the lamb chops with mashed patatoe and veggies. The lamb wasn't the best quality and was missing something. As for the mashed patatoe and veggies that was great. My husband had the filet mignon with same sides as myself. $30.00 each plate for a small portion and wasn't even that tasty, was very disappointing. Thank God the waiter brought us bread and we all stuffed ourselves with the bread. It would of been nice if they offered humus or anything else on the table with your bread since you are dishing out money for your meal. Everything was taking too long that we had no more patience to sit for coffee and dessert. Would I go back? Probably not."

"The food, ambience, and staff are top notch. They make you feel so special. My friend and I had reservations but ran late and had to be at the Barclay theatre for the Trilogy concert. They accommodated us even though we were late. We were out of there in time for the concert. The food was amazing!!!! The drinks were tasty and also a great variety. The appetizers and dinner were delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. You will be happy you ate here. I will definitely be going back."

"My wife ordered the Lamb Shanks, and she received a generous portion with a shank, a container of rice, and a salad that looked appealing. She said it tasted fantastic. The Baba Ghanouj was flavorful, but we were let down by the hard, dry pita that came with it. I opted for the Lamb Shawarma, which turned out to be a small container with some dry lamb pieces, bitter onions, and a side of cream sauce. For $17, it felt more like a disappointing afternoon snack than a proper meal. I won’t be ordering that dish again."

"I visited this hotel a couple of years ago, and it was one of my favorites on the beach, but the prices have since skyrocketed. The restaurant has always been a great spot for breakfast and brunch. The food is good, and the service is even better. The atmosphere is fantastic as well. If you haven't been here yet, you definitely should check it out, whether you're on vacation or a local—you won't be disappointed."

"The entrance suggested that this place would function like a proper bar, but upon arrival, it turned out to be just a seating area around a bar-like setting—with no service whatsoever. The manager briefly appeared, taking a select few patrons to a “special area,” while the rest of us, who were not deemed "special," were left behind. When we requested bar service, we noticed wine glasses and bottles displayed on the wall. The manager informed us that the owner was unwilling to invest in a license and suggested that if we wanted wine, we should bring our own. If I intended to serve myself, be treated as less than others, and wait in an uncomfortable space, there are certainly much better options elsewhere. I will not be returning to this establishment. We walked out before even taking a seat. It was a terrible experience, especially on Valentine's Day."

"The food was fantastic, and there were options for everyone. The wait staff was very friendly, and I would definitely return or order from here again. My only suggestion would be that no one checked in on us to see how everything was or to offer beverage refills. Otherwise, everything was great!"

"It's great to have healthy and delicious dining options close by. I'm currently indulging in a splendid Greek feast for two, which includes a Village Salad, Grilled Chicken Pita, Impossible Meatball Pita, Chicken Souvlaki Classic Meal, and more. Everything is very fresh, well-packaged, and provides a delightful local dining experience. I can’t wait to return!"

"This is absolutely fabulous food. I got the vegetable sampler which had hummus, grape leaves, felafel, couscous but I subbed the eggplant moussaka), pita, etc. Hands down, this is absolutely the best hummus I've ever had, I could have just eaten that. The pita was superb. Everything was amazing. This is a place to come back to over and over again,"

"We were able to get in for a reservation for 6 which was great. They had a loud party in part of the restaurant that clearly they should have closed for because the dj took over all of the speakers, it was so loud we couldn’t talk at our table. It was so loud we received the “it’s too loud” notification from our Apple Watch. It was ridiculous. We ordered, then about 20-25 min later the server came back and told two of our party they didn’t have the dish they ordered. Then one of us who got their food last, received the salad only, then waited and waited for their pasta dish. We had to get to a show so had to rush… it was a terrible experience. The server was nice but as they continued to turn the music up and up during each song, he kept saying, “I can’t hear you I’m sorry” but then turn it down then if you can’t hear us! If you can’t hear us, we definitely can’t hear each other. We will never return. The food was fine though, but not worth returning for."

"Update: I recently visited and was quite disappointed. It seems this restaurant is following the same downward trajectory as the original location—thriving for a while, then consistently declining. What was once one of Country Guy's most anticipated dining spots has turned into a lackluster experience. The sandwich I ordered had hardly any protein; I felt like I was mainly eating the complimentary pita bread. The dipping oil for the pita was just that—mostly oil, which saddened us since the fresh pita and dipping oil used to be the highlight of the meal. As for the service, the staff could benefit from some training in the Baton Rouge area. A poker face may work at a casino or church, but it doesn't belong in a restaurant. If the "Mean Girls" look is the style they’re going for, I doubt even they would be proud. We hope that our last two experiences were just flukes. Back in January 2022, I would have placed this place among the top three Mediterranean restaurants in Baton Rouge. The Lebanese tea was delightful. While the restaurant is smaller than the original location, they do offer pizzas for those who aren’t fans of Mediterranean cuisine."

"This is the hottest new restaurant for 2024! The menu is completely revamped, featuring all the top dishes you'd hope to find. From perfectly cooked steaks and pasta served in flaming cheese wheels to fresh truffles and an array of incredible flavors, this place truly delivers. It's the premium dining experience that Dr. Phillips has been missing! My wife and I can't wait to return several times a month—it's that exceptional! If you’re visiting, this is an essential stop! I can see it earning a Michelin star in the near future!"
