"This is the easiest 5-star rating I've given in a while. Falansai is an outstanding modern Vietnamese/Southeast Asian restaurant that truly expands the definition of Vietnamese cuisine, in the best way possible. For the full experience, gather a group and order the “dac biet” feast. It's an incredible deal at around $80 per person for 5-6 courses, and it delivers an impressive tasting menu.
Some standout dishes included a perfectly balanced spicy coconut curry paired with flawlessly fried black bass, as well as a grilled Vietnamese pork chop that was truly life-changing. The spring roll vermicelli salad was excellent, too. Each dish was elevated by the fantastic chili fish sauces and pickles that kept coming.
Falansai also has a solid selection of natural wines, and my only regret is that I didn't get a chance to try the cocktails, which looked enticing. The cool patio in the back is perfect for warm summer nights."
