"During a trip to Hot Springs with my daughter, she requested BBQ for lunch. I don't usually eat BBQ, but I decided to give McClard's a try. Tucked away in a humble building, this restaurant has the most hometown feel I've experienced in a while. The staff were friendly and welcoming to travelers. I ordered the chipped pork sandwich, tamales, and sausage. The BBQ sauce was flavorful with a hint of spice, very tasty. The tamales were not traditional tamales, more like a tamale spread. While the flavor was good, it could have been better. I suggest trying something else if you can. The sausage was a generous portion and quite delicious. Overall, we left very satisfied."
