"I am not from Michigan and was not familiar with the area. My dad and I were thrilled to discover this restaurant on the side of the highway that wasn’t a typical fast food chain. The woman who took our order was incredibly kind and helpful, and kids outside at the picnic tables were chatting with us about the community. Apart from a few kids on bikes, we were the only ones there in a car. While we were still eating our food, a man very rudely asked if our black car (a rental) belonged to us. When we confirmed, he bluntly told us to move our car immediately and not take up three parking spots. However, the parking lot was completely empty at 3:00pm on a Thursday, and there were no designated parking spots marked. We apologized for not realizing, but he continued to be aggressive about moving the car, even though we were sitting right next to it. I'm not sure what his issue was, but he displayed poor customer service and didn't care if we could finish our meal in the empty lot before moving our car. Unfortunately, this encounter marred what had otherwise been an enjoyable experience, including celebrating my dad's 67th birthday with a banana malt. I advise against spending money at this establishment, as you may be treated poorly by the owner who lacks proper hospitality skills. It's a shame that such delicious food is overshadowed by the problematic behavior of the owner."
