"We were passing through and thought we would stop at this little hole in the wall that was recommended by Trip Advisor. The place was packed and people still were lining up to get in. Order at the counter and they bring it out. Paper plates and cups. No, its not fine a dining experience, but that’s probably how they can pass those savings along to the customers. Good prices and some AMAZING food!!!! Patacon Plantains are off the chain! 100% recommend if your in the area!"

"My first time in IL, and this is the first place I got food and was highly disappointed!!!! I ordered the smoked salmon and crab salad through door dash on today 10/11/23 4:30pm. Food came at 5:30 pm. The timeframe was not the issue, but the salmon was cold like it came straight out of the fridge and the crab salad was nothing but celery and mayonnaise. I don’t like leaving bad reviews so I called to get an explanation. The lady who answered says that we should’ve selected an option for hot food which was not an option on doordash. She then told me that she was trying to help other customers and that I would need to hold, In those exact words. I wouldn’t suggest this place to anyone. I’m from sc and to serve cold meat is against health department code , but I’m not sure how this works in IL. Regardless, I was very disappointed and disgusted and I’m going to BBB next. If she had a better attitude the issue could have been resolved, but she made me seem as though my issue was irrelevant. I loved the beautiful chandelier that hung from the ceiling . I tried a few of the menu items and my favorite was the Ultimate Boil which came with snow crab, shrimp, crawfish, sausage, potatoes, and corn. "I ordered fries topped with brisket and queso at this restaurant. There were only about six small pieces of brisket and a very small amount of queso. When I requested extra queso, I was informed that they were out (which likely explains the limited amount on my fries), but they did send out additional brisket."

"Very polite customer service. Called in a takeout order on a Friday night. I ordered the seafood sampler w/extra chicken tenders and an order of hush puppies. They didn’t have lemonade, only fountain drinks bc of COVID which makes sense. When you arrive, you pay at the walk up window. I waited in my car w/the windows cracked and they’ll call out your name when it’s ready. Wow, everything was so fresh and delicious! I was worried with all the fried items that they’d have the same breading but each item had a unique breading that was perfect. The catfish was terrific, the crawfish tails were meatier than I expected, the shrimp and tenders were spot-on and the hush puppies might’ve been the favorite. Coleslaw was good and should’ve gotten more. Fries above average. Enjoyed the variety of dipping sauces."

"We stopped in to grab lunch while passing through. Service was friendly. Tried to order a few things but was told they were not available due to frozen chicken. Ended up with Reuben and Philly steak wrap. The Reuben had very dry meat with soggy bread and the Philly steak had tasteless meat in a thick burrito wrapper.
