"I'm not from the area—I live 12 miles from Canada in northwest Minnesota—but I'm here for work. My friend is from Texas, and we chose this restaurant based on its reviews. I have to say, the food was delicious! Everything was served fresh and hot. The waitress was fantastic, and even though it was packed, we only waited about 45 minutes for a table. The prices were reasonable for the quality we received. I'll be sure to tell everyone I know to check this place out when they visit Chattanooga!"

"Spending time in the Charleston area with family has allowed me to find more of the local gems like the Crab Shack. We chose the Coosaw Creek location on Dorchester Rd. We were not disappointed. Our server was very pleasant, knowledgeable about the menu and made sure we had everything we needed. The food arrived in short order, beginning with the Crab Ball with roumalade appetizer. Lots of crab with just enough breading to hold it together. Excellent flavor! I will definitely be back for more of these! For my entree, I had the Stuffed Flounder, a large portion nicely prepared a lot of crab laden stuffing and topped with a sherry cream sauce. My husband left very satisfied after having the Shrimp and Scallop Casserole with sides of Cole Slaw and Red Rice. Overall, a pleasant atmosphere, good food, and reasonable prices."

"It is our first time here and we have such high hope for this place as we see over 3k review. I’m sorry to say that the foods were very very salty, it feels as someone accidentally drop the salt jar in the foods. It was not edible. We ordered crab cake with rice and collard greens, crab stuffed flounder with rice and collard greens, she can soup holy molly salty, more salty than the sea water). It was terrible!! We only took a couple bites of the foods because it was expensive and we don’t like to waste foods but we had done our best considering our health come first. If the restaurant see this, please lower the amount of salt use in foods. Thanks"

"The crabs were quite tough and had very little meat. While the presentation of the potatoes and eggs was appealing, my main craving was for the crabs, and they only earned a 4/10. The seasoning was good, but the crabs weren't fresh—they were hard and very small, with hardly any meat inside."

"The restaurant was empty on Monday at 1pm. Service was, as you would expect, fast and responsive given the lack of patrons. The menus come with items covered all over. I missed the lunch menu, thinking it was a nearly identical one that I had seen. You don't get your own copy of every menu, so pay attention and make certain you have seen them all because entrees are spread out over the three menus. With that said, we had some really good shrimp and outstanding scallops ay lunch."

"We arrived in Charleston excited to dine at one of the top seafood restaurants. Unfortunately, after two days of disappointing meals at two well-known places, we found ourselves sitting in a Sam’s Club parking lot reading reviews. We were thoroughly impressed by the feedback for The Crab Shack on Ashley and the engagement from the manager or owner who took the time to respond to comments. This motivated us to give them a chance. The service was excellent, and our server, Kenny, was fantastic—very knowledgeable about the menu. I can confidently say this... "
