"After the first time eating here we knew we had to come back! Since our local place in Shelby with the best ribs closed several years ago we had to find something as good and the other local places here just aren't as good but the BBQ house guys in Oak Isalnd have the best out of town ribs and BBQ sandwiches! they need to show our locals how to do it They also have a few extra different sauces you can add to your bbq as well on the table which is great cuz i love a more vinegar based sauce so it's nice to have options but the sauce they use on the ribs is super tasty as well. We have even started going down for new years the last few years and they were open on new years day which was great. The staff is always friendly and they make you feel at home. The restaurant itself has a small down home feel which I love. We will make sure to always keep one night open for BBQ when we go down for vacation! And the prices are good for the amount of food and for how good it is. Kid-friendliness: It is kid friendly and they have chicken strips for picky eaters"
