"I have been wanting to come here for awhile and I was able to finally. I will start off with saying the service is here is amazing! I had Nick and he explained things perfectly! He went over the menu and gave excellent recommendations. As many others said here the portion sizes were astronomically small. I will say that this would be an amazing culinary experience but 100% not a place to have a fulfilling meal without paying $150 a person. We started off with the Lobster tacos and ordered 3 with each being maybe 2in in length. They cost $19 each which was crazy! I could tell the lobster was fresh but honestly the flavour was lacking. We also ordered the Gyoza and got three for $13 each and it was amazing! The three of us ordered the Maine Lobster and Palm Hearts which was $50 and was about half a cup of food, the fillet which was marinated in teriyaki on a bed of vegetables was the largest portion of the lot with a 6oz filet and LOADS of amazing veggies, finally a spicy salmon roll that was not on the menu however they specially made it for my friend which measured about .25in in diameter that cost $22. We all also ordered desert the lava cake and ice cream, sorbet and ice cream by itself. These each cost about $15 and were probably the best part of the entire night. Overall, again the experience would have been a great place to taste great food then go across the street for a full meal. The service and staff were amazing and I can't express that enough!"

"We didn't want pho, and ate sushi the night before so this night we really wanted to go for Thai, which is one of our favorite Asian cuisines. Rin is a Thai restaurant which is located on 137th Ave. and 120th St. at London Square so it's very close to our house. This is our third time going there, so I definitely had to review it. It was a Sunday night and surprisingly enough there was nobody there. This is very weird because there ARE NOT many great restaurants in West Kendall, and I don't understand why people wouldn't take the chance of eating delicious Thai food. I guess people don't wanna get out of their comfort zone of eating the same monotonous stuff every weekend. Anyway, we were seated quickly, and proceeded to order the curries and soup we wanted. The Tom Kha which is a coconut milk-based soup was too bitter so I asked the manager and it was quickly improved. My medium spicy masaman curry was right on point, had a lot of peanuts, and the curry itself was mildly sweet and delicious. The potatoes were a bit undercooked but that's alright. He also brought the additional rice I requested at no charge. The ambiance is nice, very clean, well lit (I've been to some places that are so dark you can barely see the menu), and is a family run establishment. This is real Thai food, and there's also sushi for those who aren't into Thai cuisine. You even see beautiful masks and 4 portraits of the King of Thailand at the entrance. Will definitely be back"

"An impromptu date night with the Mrs and our usual sushi spot (a 3.5-4/5 at best) being booked (AYCE so people stay longer) a quick search for spots nearby found Sushi Bear. Good ratings, pictures of what my wife described as a “cute” inside and the name (wife has always called me Bear, so Sushi Bear was a sign) we decided to give it a shot. After being seated I can attest that the inside was indeed “cute” we ordered a few items off the menu and absolutely everything was perfection. Miso soup was great and plentiful. The garlic soy sauce edamame was like nothing we’ve had before even though we always try to order the garlic style edamame at sushi spots. Addicting. We got a few items but the main highlights start with the bear style carpaccio (fresh and delicious, wife usually will only eat salmon but ventured to try the other 3 types of fish presented and liked them). And then the star of the evening was the Sunrise Roll. We always try to find a type of roll that’s like a California roll with salmon and lemon slices on top. Some places have variations, others we need to ask nicely, but the sunrise roll was that to perfection. When it showed up without visible lemon slices I asked about it and was told they were under the salmon rather than the usual over we’d seen at other places. This simple change transformed the way this roll is enjoyed as you get the hint of lemon slice rather than hit with that first. Everything else was wonderful, even the ginger tasted fresh, and the service was great. Can’t wait to come back."

"Never been here before. Had miso soup. I had it once before somewhere else and wasn't a fan. But here, it was absolutely delicious and perfect on a cold, rainy day like. The sauce for the Crab Rangoon was sweet, but not overwhelming, and tasted of apricots. At least that's what I thought. When I asked, I was assured there was no apricot in it . It was just Thai Chili Sauce. Try it for yourself and let me know what you think. The wanton wrappers were thin and delicate, but very crispy. And the filling was rich and creamy. The chicken wings were small, but surprisingly tasty. The sauce had a mild bbq flavor with notes of pineapple or oranges which was complimented well by the the fresh lemon wedge they gave me.I asked the server about the size of the wings. She said they intentionally picked small wings because the sauce was able to permeate throughout the chicken, giving every morsel a generous coating of flavor. And she was right! It's not always about the amount, but it is always about the taste. The sauce even kicks up the flavor of the shaved carrots and cabbage served with the wings. But the best part was the Beef Teriyaki Bento Box. Shrimp and Vegetable Tempera. The vegetables were tender and not overcooked.Same for the shrimp. The batter looked thick, but was light and fluffy. The sushi rolls were light and creamy. The Teriyaki sauce was thin, but was extremely flavorful. And the coleslaw had a peanut sauce on it that knocked me completely out.I wanted to try the mango pudding, but couldn't eat another bite. So I got an order to go. I'll let you know how it was at another time ?.I will definitely come here again. Worth every penny."
