"I used to enjoy dining at this restaurant, but my recent experience was quite disappointing. I ordered a salad with Caesar dressing, and the server—an older man with white hair who mentioned he recently retired and started working in the restaurant business—became visibly upset. He repeatedly said he didn’t understand my request. When I asked where the misunderstanding was, he eventually claimed that asking for a different dressing could get him fired. I calmly explained that I was only requesting it because that’s what I had ordered during my last visit, and it wasn't a big deal for me personally. Unfortunately, my explanation didn’t seem to help, and he remained very angry. After he walked away, I overheard him venting to another server about what he apparently considered a ridiculous request for different dressing. I still left a small tip because I believe he might be dealing with some personal issues. I tried to remain as kind and professional as possible, even though that courtesy wasn’t reciprocated. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be returning, and I doubt he would want me back, either."
