"My first time at Tabu and it was amazing! The place is so cute, everything's super colorful and it's very open and light. Even just down to the detail of the sinks in the bathroom, this place is has a great vibe! The guacamole was great, if you're not a spicy fan I'd steer away because the habanero honey definitely has a kick, but the pomegranates on top is such an inspired touch. I loved the sweet with the salty and I love spicy but my friend who ordered it thought it was too hot. I had the avocado toast and subbed the plantains for a wheat sourdough. But after seeing the plantains come out, my friend had order it the regular way, I wished I'd done the plantains. It's more of a patty what I was picturing more plantain chips (I don't know if the patty contained gluten my friend whose gluten intolerant was feeling a little ill after the meal). I also had a side of potatoes which were absolutely delicious. Food 10/10. I didn't drink but my friends drinks all looked amazing. The service was a little slow, we were a larger party but the time in between taking our order and the check were really substantial. They may have wanted to give us a good amount of time but they didn't really check in much so there was just a bit of a disconnect there! Even still highly highly recommend this place!!"

"We have experienced wonderful and excellent service and have experienced okay service. Lately it has been good and enjoyed our service and food. The food is your normal more Americanized Mexican food. They offer chips and salsa like many other places. What I seem to notice most about their salsa no matter who makes it is that it's fresh (not canned salsa) and I usually notice the cilantro which I personally love. Every now and then we experience our food being overly salted. We aren't sure why other than maybe who is cooking. How ever the two times we went in November it was fine and the service was great or good. They have beautiful designs on the back board on their benches. I really like that extra detail. Kid-friendliness: Yes, a place to take your kids. Wheelchair accessibility: Convenient for wheelchairs to enter."

"This is a lovely restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The hosts and the food runner were wonderful and attentive. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the server named Pedro. His attitude was off-putting, and his conversations with other staff members were hardly appropriate for a family establishment. On a positive note, the food was absolutely delicious, and the ambiance is very pleasant with reasonable prices. Overall, I will definitely return on my next visit to Destin."

"My group of 9 went to the restaurant on Christmas Eve. When we arrived, we discovered there was a mistake with our reservation and our seats had been given to another group. We ended up sitting outside, which we didn't mind. The restaurant kindly offered us four free appetizers of our choice as a gesture of goodwill. The staff was friendly and efficient. I ordered the fajitas, which were delicious. My only criticism is that the rice could have been more flavorful. Despite that, the portions were generous and most of us had leftovers to take home. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant."

"The food, while not entirely authentic, features what I would describe as mild Minnesota flavors typical of Mexican cuisine in the area. In terms of dietary restrictions, they did a good job accommodating gluten-free needs. As for the service, I found it to be excellent. I dined in for dinner, and the price was reasonable, around $10–20 per person. Overall, I would rate the food a solid 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere also a 5. I highly recommend trying the Carne Asada!"

"I visited this restaurant for lunch with a friend today, and I can honestly say it's home to the best tacos I've ever had! We tried the Carnitas with corn tortillas, and I can't stop thinking about them. The only reason I rated the atmosphere four stars instead of five is that the music was a bit too loud for conversation, but it was still enjoyable as background noise. Our server was fantastic; she provided excellent recommendations and encouraged us to return for more dishes to try. She truly made our experience memorable. I will definitely be coming back!"
