"This weekend, I'm moving out of Fairfield, and I can honestly say that I will miss Firehouse Deli the most (and I plan to visit as often as possible). The food is incredible, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the service is fast, even during these challenging times with Covid. And let’s not forget the pickles! I've also heard fantastic things about the salads (at least, that’s what my mother-in-law says). I have two favorite dishes that I probably shouldn’t order every single time, but as they say—eat what you love. For breakfast, it's Alex’s Breakfast Panini, and for lunch, it’s the Harlem Shuffle. Honestly, every sandwich is delicious. They don’t just slap together deli meat on a dry roll with a sprinkle of salt and pepper. These are carefully crafted creations, featuring a perfect blend of sauces, veggies, meats, and cheeses that truly delight the taste buds. Everyone there seems happy, and I always leave feeling satisfied—not overly stuffed, but just right. A side of pickles is the ideal way to cap off the meal. We often recommend many great restaurants in Fairfield to our friends, but the discussion always starts with, “Have we taken you to Firehouse Deli yet?” If the team at Firehouse happens to read this, I just want to express my gratitude for being that go-to place that so many crave when they move to a new area.
