"Price is probably the biggest thing going for Joey's, it is very fair. The food is alright, nothing to get super excited over. Ever since the fries went from shoestring to crinkle cut I feel like everything I order has gone down hill in quality. Service is completely fine in my experience but the food is not great. The fries now taste a lot like oil that's gone bad, and the burger buns seem to always be so wet that the center becomes a paste. I don't know about anyone else but that mushy texture makes me gag. Overall it's mediocre. If you're eyes are bigger than your stomach, bear in mind that a little bit of food here goes a long way, so stick to small portions."

It's an excellent place to visit if you're feeling hungry late at night or after church. The food is delicious, freshly made, and satisfying. View menu

Excellent food with generous portion sizes at reasonable prices. You walk away from this fast food place feeling satisfied, not as if you’ve just paid for a meal at an upscale restaurant.

I had not been to Joey's in a few years. I cut back on bad, unhealthy foods. The return to Joey's resulted in a terrible order of the chicken gyro platter. The food was lacking taste and was just not as good as it used to be. I will continue to take my business to Nickeys up the street on Western Ave. I would not recommend this establishment to co-workers, friends family.

I love their hot dog specials. I tried their wings; greatly disappointed. First, they weren't wings but those pieces of wings. Second, the batter was awful and clumpy. Third, they were as hard as rocks. I've tried some of their other foods and really enjoyed them. I won't be trying their wings again.Parking: Only one handicapped spot but ample parking, except during noon lunches; it gets pretty crowded. View menu

Ordered a Hamburger (with everything) fries and a drink. It was a mush-burger with no taste and 0 flavor. The condiments were ice cold like they just came out of the fridge and they took the warmth out of the meat. The bun was all soggy. Mexican music floating out the speakers. Inside was pretty clean. Lot of old Chicago photos hanging on the walls.Backing out of the parking spots along the east side of the building with Larger vehicles may be a challenge for some drivers.

Went In for a DoorDash pick up and the Lady who was Passing out the orders was determined not to give me the order after I stood there patiently waiting. After the Cashier Confirmed and made sure to place the receipt for the order up front so that it could be prepared immediately. The order was packed and the Lady just looked at me and walked away. The Cashier came after she finished taking orders and she Gave me the Doordash. Not sure why the Blonde Lady was acting so Weird but I Personally wouldn't Spend my Money At This Establishment until she is Gone!!

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
