However, when I was craving chicken fried steak and searched for nearby options, I found this place with rave reviews, so I decided to give it a try. The food did not disappoint. The white gravy had a slightly sweet flavor that I wasn't particularly fond of, but it was still good. The sides exceeded my expectations! The cabbage was my favorite, absolutely delicious. The yams were tasty and full of flavor—while they weren't as good as a traditional Big Momma’s Sunday dinner, they were definitely worth a second helping. The mac and cheese was average; it was cheesy and creamy, but I was hoping for baked mac and cheese like you’d find at Thanksgiving, given all the other great dishes. Overall, I’d give this place a solid 4 out of 5. Next time, I’m thinking of trying the meatloaf and some different sides, plus definitely a dessert! One last thing: I picked up my food instead of using DoorDash, but I noticed an extra charge of $3.35 on my order. I'm curious about that."
