Mr C's Fried Chicken And Waffles

The chicken fried chicken and the wings are the best. Pictured are pork chops (very tasty, but not as good as the chicken fried chicken) and the biscuits and gravy plate. Angelica was our waitress both times we were there and she is excellent! We will be back!

This is an excellent southern kitchen restaurant. The chicken is absolutely delicious, and there are plenty of choices for both breakfast and lunch. They also serve complimentary cornbread, which was a nice touch. The wall decorations are pleasant, and the service was outstanding. The prices are quite reasonable as well. I highly recommend this place, and I definitely plan to return. Food: 5/5

I’m really glad I decided to try this restaurant! Everything was fantastic, from the cornbread to the crispy coating on the chicken, the seasoning of the fried okra, and that incredible cheese pull and flavor of the mac and cheese—WOW! The real standout was definitely the mac and cheese. I’m a very satisfied customer. My wife and I decided to revisit this restaurant after enjoying our first experience. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by one of the hostesses, who ended up being our server as well. We ordered diabetic sweet tea and two Number Ones, which included a three-piece chicken of our choice and a waffle with our preferred topping. Our total came to $47, and we were pleased with the generous portion sizes. We definitely needed to take some food home in to-go boxes!

The cornbread was a standout—dense and not overly sweet, especially when paired with butter. Delicious! The waffles were fluffy and buttery, and the chicken was moist and perfectly battered—not greasy at all. The greens were tasty, though I wish they offered a larger portion. The interior of the restaurant has a really cool vibe, and I definitely plan to come back soon. The deviled eggs were tasty as well, but just a bit on the salty side. Overall, a wonderful experience!

I had a wonderfully enjoyable experience at Mr. C's Chicken and Waffles! I ordered the fried chicken along with pecan waffles, and both were amazing. Their waffle selection includes chocolate chip, red velvet, cinnamon, pecan, and blueberry; I chose the pecan waffle. It was light and fluffy, and the pecans added just the right amount of sweetness. Today was my first time to Mr.C’s and I was really impressed! Customer service was great! Jess did a great job taking care of our table! The Resturant was clean, and the food was very good! I had the fried catfish, macaroni cheese, with a peach mango Koolaid! The complimentary cornbread is fantastic!! I wanted to try the Sweet Potato pie but I will have to try it on the next trip because they were out! Sarah came out more than once to be sure the food was great that we were satisfied with our entrées appetizers! If you are in San Antonio and are looking for some quality southern soul food, I highly recommend Mr.C’s! Enjoy !!!

We came here on a whim after seeing the taco spot next door was packed, as we weren’t feeling like eating around a crowd, and we were not disappointed. We were greeted fast and served cornbread as an appetizer. Cornbread was hot and delicious, but what really wowed us was our entrées. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I had overlooked it since its opening, thinking it only served basic chicken tenders and waffles. However, when I was craving chicken fried steak and searched for nearby options, I found this place with rave reviews, so I decided to give it a try. The food did not disappoint.
