"Easter Brunch brought request for Empanadas from North Park Empanada Kitchen! They have a great “buy a 24 pack frozen and bake them at your convenience” with really detailed instructions so they bake up and brown nicely.I ordered the following:4 Beef~excellent, with ample seasoned filling4 Chicken~excellent, with ample seasoned filling4 Lamb~excellent with ample seasoned filling4 Ham and Cheese~average, and with little filling4 Caprese (Tomato, mozzarella, basil), delicious, but with little filling4 Ratatouille (roasted veggies), delicious, but with little filling6 apple~these were a disaster. I would not order these again. The empanada dough which works great for the savory empanadas is a bust for these “dessert” empanadas, and the apples were hardly embellished with good spices or anything. This was very disappointing!But as far as the savory empanadas, they are quite tasty! The North Park location has a tiny parking lot that is still helpful to dash in and pick up a pre-paid order! I do recommend a visit to this eatery!"
