"Omakase by the sea! Interesting little spot located inside the Marriott Residence Inn. The sushi bar has about 8 seats and is located indoors but looks right out to the ocean. I recommend getting there during daylight if you want the view. There is a limited menu besides the omakase... some sushi and other American items. For omakase, you need to reserve in advance with a credit card. You can choose from the $50 12 course or $100 17 course option. Each course is a piece of nigiri. The seatings are strictly one hour. Our reservation was for 8pm and we were running just a few minutes late. At 8pm the phone rings asking us where we were. When we answered that we were literally three minutes away we were told they would start plating . Two chefs prepared the meal for us and four others. The nigiri came out at a steady pace and at 8:50pm we were told our last course was coming and since they were getting ready for another seating, if we wanted to order more, we could move to a table. Yes, I did feel rushed. The meal itself? High quality sushi prepared well. I found most of the nigiri to be fairly basic, without many surprises. I have been to several omakase meals now and I find those with just nigiri to be a little boring. Would be much nicer if they threw in a couple of dishes without rice and dessert!!!! I guess the price point is not bad for what you get. Would definitely recommend for a tourist who wants to experience omakase on the beach. If you live here and do not care about the view, there might be better omakase options."
