"Omakase by the sea! Interesting little spot located inside the Marriott Residence Inn. The sushi bar has about 8 seats and is located indoors but looks right out to the ocean. I recommend getting there during daylight if you want the view. There is a limited menu besides the omakase... some sushi and other American items. For omakase, you need to reserve in advance with a credit card. You can choose from the $50 12 course or $100 17 course option. Each course is a piece of nigiri. The seatings are strictly one hour. Our reservation was for 8pm and we were running just a few minutes late. At 8pm the phone rings asking us where we were. When we answered that we were literally three minutes away we were told they would start plating . Two chefs prepared the meal for us and four others. The nigiri came out at a steady pace and at 8:50pm we were told our last course was coming and since they were getting ready for another seating, if we wanted to order more, we could move to a table. Yes, I did feel rushed. The meal itself? High quality sushi prepared well. I found most of the nigiri to be fairly basic, without many surprises. I have been to several omakase meals now and I find those with just nigiri to be a little boring. Would be much nicer if they threw in a couple of dishes without rice and dessert!!!! I guess the price point is not bad for what you get. Would definitely recommend for a tourist who wants to experience omakase on the beach. If you live here and do not care about the view, there might be better omakase options."

Wonderful service. Sushi was super fresh and delicious. Christie (our server) was incredible. Highly recommend for a nice evening out. Go when it's light out, Sunset time to enjoy/appreciate the view.

Sushi was pretty good! We had the tuna, shrimp tempura, and a bougie roll. The service was also fantastic the waitress and bartender were great people and gave us great suggestions of things to do and see. Love the views and being by the beach!

The location and atmosphere are amazing with a beautiful view of the beach. However, the sushi is disappointing, overpriced, and small. If you're looking for high-quality sushi, this is not the place. But if you're looking for a nice spot to enjoy drinks and spend a few hours, then this could be the perfect spot for you.

Probably the best Sushi place on the South East coast of Florida. Spectacular decor with outside seating. Go there earlier and have a cocktail in the garden, watching the Ocean. Service was perfect. Sushi was out of this world. We had the larger Omakase, and would have stayed for another serving. The hotel has valet parking. If you're in South East Florida, this is a must. Anything else we tried is either decent or mediocre. View menu

This is a beautiful little cafe with excellent service. To be honest, the food from the kitchen was way better than the sushi. The blackened grouper sandwich was delicious, as was the Korean hot dog. The sweet potato fries were maybe the best we ever had. The sushi we ordered, including the surf and turf roll, were overpriced, lifeless and bland. It made us sorry we ordered it at all. Stick with the kitchen menu and you will enjoy this place much more.

We went for our anniversary, we always choose to go somewhere that has food we don't prepare at home. We reserved seats at the Sushi Bar for the Omakase menu. The fish was very fresh and delicious, prepared in front of us by an excellent sushi chef. Each of the 12 sushi courses was presented with a description and explanation of ingredients. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Go early and have a cocktail in the beachside garden. We will definitely return. KWnPB

The website advertises this restaurant as an experience, so I, being curious, had to see for myself what it was all about. It is omakase style, meaning you trust the chef to choose your dishes for you. I am not a picky eater so this was not a problem for me, but if you are selective about your food choices, I would recommend looking for another dining option. The meal consisted of multiple courses, with the option to upgrade to a more extravagant experience. While the location I visited has closed, the Fort Lauderdale location is still welcoming guests, and I noticed they are offering a special deal for Dine Out Fort Lauderdale. View menu

Wagyu Beef with Black Truffle shavings. This was one of the courses of the Omakase menu at the Sushi by Bou. So worth it to enjoy!!!! Chef's Thomas and Brandon are masters at their craft behind the Sushi bar, very down to earth as well. Chris the GM is on point with his staff, very hands on. Server Sasha was a sweetheart and very helpful as well, with us having to move inside abruptly due to the rain. Bartender Renee makes a mean cocktail! They validate parking which saves some money there. It is tucked away in the rear of the Residence Inn by Marriott so be on the lookout. I hope this helps some of you out there, like I said before so worth going.

Currently, the restaurant is offering a Lauder Deals dinner for $45, which includes a 12-course omakase. This deal is a steal for what you get. While there are better omakases in town, the sushi was very good overall, with some pieces standing out more than others such as the Otoro, hamachi, and hotate. The view was excellent and the atmosphere was casual, which was a nice change of pace. The staff was fantastic and accommodating to special requests from guests, such as no wasabi or swapping out the uni. We were also able to add a few extra pieces a la carte. We tried some rolls and apps as well, but they weren't as impressive. The price, atmosphere, and service make this place exactly what...

"The plant-based food is not only cruelty-free and healthful, it is delicious! The smokey and sweet barbecue sauce on the shredded “beef” was excellent. The platter contained mac with vegan cheese sauce. I thought I didn’t like vegan cheese, but the sauce was tasty. There was also a grilled corn cob and thick garlic toast. The large house Rabbit salad balanced the entree with shredded kale, Brussel sprouts, apples and more with house dressing. Both are large enough to share. I’m going back to try more dishes. There are a few tables in the small, bright storefront, but the tables outside in the wide covered walkway are better for supper. The staff is friendly. We were asked about how we liked the food by 3 different people. Tip: order ahead of time to avoid a wait of about half an hour. Most dishes are just under $20. That’s more than I want to spend for a burger and fries, but the food is excellent and carefully prepared. Strip mall parking was sufficient. We took public Circuit Rider from A1A.
