"I had a random desire for Lee's coffee and a croissant, so I came to Lee's sandwiches. I had a really good experience at the Downey site, so I was hoping it would be the same here in a place like this in Artesia. I had some problems here. The only good thing that this location has to go for it is how beautiful and spacious the interior it is; it looked very professional and they have set it up so that you can do a tiny bit of food and drink shopping before you get something from their menu. 1 The Downey site had a GREAT selection of drinks. I was just there for coffee and there were so many things I wanted to try the next time. For such a beautiful and large location, the beverage selection at the Artesia site was so small that it seemed pretty embarrassing. There were only a few tea options, few juice and smoothie options and decent variations with the coffee. You have to set it up. 2 This was my biggest problem with this location and possibly the restaurant chain as a whole, if this is the case at any location. When I went to Downey, I noticed that she used A LOT ice cream in her fantastic Iced Coffee. 80% of the cup was filled with ice. When I remembered, I asked for a big iced coffee with light ice cream. I was told about the cash register that if I did, I would have to pay more for it. Are you confused as I am? From what I collected from the cash register, they have to go through the recipe. This recipe requires only 8 ounces of coffee I suspected that the rest is just ice cream and a large cup is about 16 ounces. For this reason, getting light ice would mean that I would have to pay more coffee to it add $1 to $2 more. This is the only restaurant or drink shop I've ever had, and that's ridiculous. Inside I was very annoyed by this, but I was curious what would happen if I agreed to it, so I agreed to it happy. What was even more frustrating is what they gave me; as you can see in the picture of coffee, all that they seemed to have done was less coffee, as it was the same amount of ice that they normally use. Lee's sandwiches have to let these strings go in the recipe so that people can enjoy the coffee more and adapt it to their wishes. No one should pay top of almost $6 for a Iced Coffee that really 50% coffee and 50% water. If they do this with their other drinks, it must end. 3 The last edition I had at this point was the size of the croissant sandwiches. I bought 2, one was a sausage, egg and cheese, and the other was a ham, egg and cheese. The second image is referenced. The downey location had a bigger croissant perhaps by 30% and the price was not so much different. In addition, there was not much meat in it to justify an almost $5 price point. Overall I can only give this location 2 star"
