"Worth Waiting For. I always wondered whether it was worth the wait to have breakfast at Jimmy's Egg. I wonder no more.
We had less than a 10 minute wait on a drippy wet Sunday morning before we were seated. The menu is extensive, and contains about what you would expect for a breakfasty type place. The one thing that caught my eye were the sweet potato pancakes. They are delicious, with a very nice sweet flavor.
The hash browns are also excellent, cooked with a light crunch to the exterior, but not in any way burnt. The turkey sausage has a robust flavor that came as a pleasant surprise.
The only thing I found lacking was the coffee, which was nothing more than watered down diner coffee.
Service was very fast. We were in and out in about 30 minutes from the time we ordered our meal.
Jimmy's Egg has better prices and better food than Village Inn. Better service, too. It is well worth a small wait."
