The portion size was generous with no shortage of meat - it was absolutely delicious. My girlfriend ordered the Kirk Jackson sandwich, which was equally phenomenal with a generous amount of barbeque sauce that made every bite a delight. The sides at Mad Jack's (potato salad, pinto beans, pickles) were all perfectly executed. The ambiance and staff were everything you would hope for in a barbecue joint in a charming town like Cloudcroft. Mad Jack, the owner, has poured his heart and soul into this place and it truly shines through in the quality of the food. He is incredibly kind, welcoming, and humble - treating his customers like extended family. This is a must-visit restaurant, even if there is a wait, as it's clear why so many people are willing to wait for a taste of Mad Jack's famous barbeque."
