"The jambalaya is fantastic! The beans are just standard red beans, nothing special. I was really looking forward to the potato salad because I love it, but it was a huge disappointment. It tasted like it was made with rotten pickle relish and some sort of sweetener. I couldn't bring myself to take even one bite. Even my pit bull, who eats anything except bananas, turned her nose up and growled at it. Please consider changing the potato salad recipe. The jambalaya is so good that it deserves a better side dish. Making edible potato salad is really quite simple. I truly love your jambalaya, but please fix the potato salad!"

"The red beans and rice with sausage is really good. Next time, I want to try to jambalaya. Friendly service here, too. The gumbo tasted like canned Campbell's gumbo--you may want to pass on that order. It was also served lukewarm. Obviously letting them know you want it hot matters...but I guess maybe they were worried about the heat in the plastic bowls."

"The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was fantastic. However, I found the jambalaya's rice to be a bit too sticky and dry for my liking. On the other hand, the gumbo was authentic and incredibly delicious, as were the red beans. I even enjoyed the mashed potato salad!"

"Jambalaya Shoppe ran out of jambalaya again?! The food is decent, but it doesn't really matter if there's none available. It's quite disappointing, especially since they ran out more than an hour before closing. I decided to give them another shot, and this time I managed to get some food. Unfortunately, the pastalaya was tasteless, and the red beans had a sour flavor. I'm done with this place."

"First timer. Got the Shoppe Combo with Jambalaya, Red Beans, Potato Salad, and Corn.The gumbo was decent but the portion was tiny compared to the Jambalaya, which is not obvious from the menu.The Jambalaya was pretty bland, basically tasted like rice cooked with chicken and sausage, with no additional seasoning to speak of. The chicken in the Jambalaya was on the dry side.The red beans were not bad, particularly with a bit of sausage and rice from the Jambalaya.The corn was okay and mixed well into the Jambalaya.The potato salad was quite disappointing with no hint of flavor/seasoning. Bland bland bland. At least throw in a packet of Tony's on the side if you're not gonna season it.Hey, it's better than Taco Bell or McDonald's. But probably not coming back anytime soon, definitely wouldn't recommend anyone to try it as their first taste of Cajun food."
