"My boyfriend was apprehensive about the place being a non-seafood lover and then doubly so when we pulled up and saw that is was upstairs in a strip mall. However, it is still a happening part of Brentwood and the scene inside is very comfortable and cool. We started with the cotija corn crema side to share (Delicious which was surprisingly not too decadent and mildly charred and delicious. I'm a small eater so I had the black cod lettuce cups as my entrée and WOW so good. Not sure if poached in butter but so flavorful and melt in my mouth. My boyfriend had the chicken sandwich and really enjoyed! He said one of the best he's had, though he didn't get it with the mayo or dressings the chef put on the menu so it might be better if you just adhere to the way it's prepared by the chef (I usually find that to be the case). Anthony our waiter was attentive and friendly! I ordered the spicy margarita with light agave and I really appreciated that he reiterated "light agave" when he gave it to me. Delicious drink as well and overall great experience. My non-seafood loving boyfriend attests he'd be happy to go back if were not for the price! The price is quite high for the amount of food and quality, albeit good. We would both love to go back frequently but will probably have to wait for a special occasion to make it back"

"I love this place, every time we visit NYC we come here, this the 1st time trying food and again the service was amazing food even better, selection of tacos was amazing and the spicy fries lovely. "First impression of the hotel was a 4 out of 5 stars. Quickly declined from that point on. It's a 50 dollar fee (per night) for incidentals. Mostly all hotels I have stayed at have a 50 dollar incidental fee for the entire stay. We get to the room and the room smelled of someone previously smoking in it. Next I notice the wall paper ripping off the walls on every single wall. Opened up the window to see a big light up christmas tree laying there on the roof right in front of our window. What a nice view right. Plus the Room is designed more like a motel 6 room at that. Went to open the mini fridge and noticed for 1 there is no freezer and for 2 it wasn't cold AT ALL! Proceeded to pull it out of the cabinet they had it closed up in to see if it needed to be turned up and water spilled out all over the carpet. So I made my way down to the front desk and was told they would send someone to check it out. As I stood outside the door waiting for Someone to come check it out I watched staff trying to chase out a crackhead who was hissing and hollering at them. So Someone then made there way to check it out and said that they don't get that cold they are only intended for a 1 night use! We are staying for 4 nights! Made my way down to the front desk again and asked to be switched to another room and the lady at the front desk denied us another room instead proceeded to radio someone to get a fridge from a different room! I wouldn't recommend this place AT ALL. The worst hotel I have ever stayed at and I stay out of town for work EVERY WEEK! MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY! How do the expect me to keep my food that I brought cold!? They could care less."
