"We started with the beer cheese and pretzel, and it was amazing! The beer cheese had a nice spicy kick, and the pretzel was wonderfully soft and buttery—a perfect pairing! My wife and I ordered two different burgers, and both were outstanding, bursting with flavors that complemented each other beautifully. While some restaurants come up with unusual menu items just for the sake of being quirky, NOLA'S executes their bold combinations with great taste and unique aromas.
Their daring menu items truly shine! One of the standout sides for me was quite unusual—the fries that came with my burger, which they call “the swamp.” These were topped with red beans and cheese. I was blown away! The red beans were something else—they weren’t your typical beans. They were spiced to perfection, creating a symphony of flavors. Each bite ended with a subtle smoky taste that was simply delicious.
To top it all off, we indulged in the “Taste of New Orleans” dessert. This homemade bread pudding was drizzled with caramelized brown sugar, topped with Bananas Foster sauce, and finished with fresh banana slices. Trust me, it was as good as it sounds. I wish we had followed our wonderful waitress' suggestion to add a scoop of ice cream; that would have elevated the dish to another level!
All in all, I highly recommend NOLA'S if you're in the Cynthiana area. It's a must-visit!"
