"Very good breakfast but not as good as I’d hoped. We had a late breakfast today and I wanted to try this place based on the great reviews. I will start with the positives. We were seated immediately and our server was extraordinarily prompt, thorough and friendly. My wife had the Kiss My Grits platter and really loved it. I had the pancake plate with scrambled eggs and bacon it was divine. On the negative side the restaurant doesn’t seem super clean. I think they do the basics but the bathroom walls were dirty, there were a few napkins on the restaurant floor and I stepped on crayons under the table when I sat down. I also noticed they use cracked/chipped coffee mugs to hold the creamer and butter. Why? They also didn’t clean the coffee maker well before they made the tea. It wasn’t awful but that bitter taste was definitely present in what otherwise would have been excellent tea. Let’s talk about the multigrain biscuit. I’m not sure who came up with this culinary Frankenbakery nonsense but it needs to go and what’s worse is that it’s the only biscuit they offer. It’s dry, bland and makes me sad that people actually make it from scratch. I will definitely be back now that I know what to avoid and hope they were just have an off day with the cleaning."
