"I used to work here and witnessed a huge general lack of standards which may or may not be hcv. Below is a list of them: 1) The owner absolutely REFUSES to get a laundry service for the rags or even wash them in a washing machine and just hoses them out in the dish pit. We were made to work with dirty rags for days on end or just no rags sometimes. 2) There are several open deep holes in the kitchen filled with dirty smelly grey water and floating food. 3) This water also flows into the walk in cooler where all the food is stored. There is a mat in there that actually FLOATS about 6 inches above the ground that people have to step in to get to the food. 4) Not only is there a hole in the bottom of the ice buckets and the owner can 't be bothered to buy new ones BUT they also stack the 2 ice buckets inside each other, and then place them on the floor when getting ice and then stack them back inside each other. Meaning something that is going on the floor is also then being placed inside the bucket where the ice for drinks is being carried. 5)The place where the bartenders put freshly made drinks is also the same place where they put dirty glasses and the dirty plates while they are clearing them off. 6) The upstairs deck bar is yikes There is no hot water outside, it just gets warm, meaning none of the glasses or tables are being properly sanitized. The glasses are placed face down on a wooden surface where the moisture causes visible mold yet wiping the shelves off were not part of any opening or closing procedure to avoid this. Lastly, if it rains, there is a few inches of water, rust and mold in the cooler where the drinks are kept upstairs on the cans we were giving customers. Ps; The owner Johnny was weird and passive aggressive to me when I would ask questions and try to help with things. He blew up at me after I asked for help with a server not being a team player and said I was too helpful and it was annoying . After that I put in my two weeks and I was just taken off the schedule which I don 't think is legal. I know something like this has happened to 2 other women when bringing the rag situation to his attention. Johnny also touched me almost every time he passed me and he even went so far as to tell me while I was working that he was getting boned up after a group of women came in for another employee 's wedding shower that was held there. I 'm uncomfortable with the way that this behavior was supposed to be considered normal and friendly but my trying to help things be more clean and efficient for everyone was apparently inappropriate and I crossed a line and was ridiculous by offering to help with the schedule too early on in my employment."
