"Myung dong is easily one of my favorite places to come for soondubu tofu soup. Their food is very much so a home made feel and taste as compared to some of the other bigger tofu chains (BCD and Youngdong). The food is absolutely the best on a cold winter evening. Galbi portions are fantastic and always comes out sizzling hot. Despite the homemade feel of the place, the service can be somewhat lacking. They bring a variety of banchan but they don 't ever offer to refill unless you ask outright. Additionally, they also seem to rush you when you eat. No later than 5-7 minutes after the last dish is dropped off at the table, they also drop the check off as well. They continue to check up on the status of the check as well while you 're still eating. During peak hours, parking here can get dicey as most of it is taken up by the KBBQ joint next door."

"Love, love, LOVE this place. Since I moved from California over 4 years ago, I had not found a KBBQ place I liked in Houston, until i found this place. My husband and I came here and loved everything we got. It was A LOT of food, so be careful with that. One combo was probably enough for both of us since it came with around 6 vegetable side dishes, a pancake, and a large salad. We also ordered the fried rice, which was a very large portion and absolutely delicious. I think it's my favorite fried rice ever. For vegetarians, they had a whole page of clearly-marked vegetarian options "
