"It really was, for me, one of a kind, just not what I expected in a pleasant way. I do have a liking for Whiting, so this being my first visit it was easy to home in on a choice to eat. I think next time I will opt for one of the seafood combos. The slight let down for me in a seafood place was the french fries sadly they 're oh so American and reminiscent of all the low end fast food places. I would have loved real potatos chipped and fried. The huge menu was a challenge for a first timer, but it just means there is plenty more for me to go at when I return. I returned a week later, and tried the black mussel and shrimp combo. Well of course I am not from the south, I 'm not even someone you 'd describe as American so to get my lunch in a plastic bag, with a pair of disposable gloves and a bucket for the shells was a bit of a surprise. Eating with my hands is perfectly acceptable and the dish really was tasty. I did enjoy it, however potatoes corn shrimp and mussels in my opinion require very different cooking times, the result was perfection for the veggies but a little overcooked seafood. I would like to try some other dishes while I 'm still in the area"
