"So far, I've eaten here twice. The first time was on a Sunday afternoon. I thought some reviewers were nuts. What do you mean soft crust?!? That slice was NYC pizza perfection. Thin crust, crispy on the bottom, no excess grease, cheese clung appropriately, and the flavor amazing! You can taste the herb seasoning in a way you usually do not get from a dollar slice. The second time was slightly different. It was on a Tuesday, midday. The place was packed, with people pouring out on the street. I picked up two slices. Then I saw the issue of consistency in the crust.Everything else was exactly the same, but the crust was not crispy at all. It held up, but was kind of limp and soft. But I think I know why. More than likely, pizzas were being removed from the oven too early in order to accommodate the flood of guests. If they find a way to leave the pizzas in the oven for about 3 5 more minutes, that pizza will be NYC perfection every time. The flavor was, once again, amazing."

A whole cheese pizza for 8 bucks, a dollar a slice or 2 with special toppings, and done super quick, solid pizza, definitely worth the visit

This place offers incredibly affordable New York-style pizza. A regular cheese slice costs just 99 cents, while topped slices are only $2.50. View menu

one of my favorite dollar slice places, and unlike other businesses, this place has stayed true to the name dollar slice. They're pretty quick. Pizza is best when cooked a little longer to make it more crunchy.

Their pizza is excellent, especially for a simple cheese slice! The cheese is delicious, and the dough is so soft that you won’t even want to throw away the crust. While there are other dollar pizza places, this one definitely stands out for its great value.

I recently tried 99 Pizza and took a pie home to add my own toppings. However, I found the cheese to be quite sparse compared to a $2 slice from other places. It used to be better than this. Additionally, any extra toppings cost an additional $1. A pie with extras totals $14, and it measures 18 inches. View menu

They get one star because honestly they have a better slice of pizza then the competition on the block. But the guy in the front I've personally seen be disrespectful several times, today being the last. I walked over to the competition for ethical reasons. But if you lack a moral center them they are honestly the best on the block.

My friend and I ordered 2 slices of pizza and 2 sodas for $5. The cashier mistakenly thought we wanted water, and when he handed us sodas, he told us it would cost $5.50. We requested to pay the additional 50 cents by card, but he explained that his terminal was configured to automatically charge more than $5, meaning we could only pay the surplus. We disagreed with this and asked for a refund. He tossed the cans of Coca-Cola he had sold us and handed us $4, claiming that the remaining dollar was a charge. When we began to call 311 for assistance, he panicked and gave us the dollar back. The service was appalling.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
