Alebrije Mexican Cuisine

I had the coconut shrimp and absolutely loved it! My server, Elizabeth, was incredibly sweet and funny, making my first visit truly memorable. I highly recommend this place—10/10!

The owner of this Mexican restaurant used to be the chef of Oh María that was an upscale Mexican restaurant in Buckhead. Then he worked in Zapata in Peachtree Corners and now has his own restaurant. For those fortunate to live close to Duluth go and order the Poblano Soup.

Absolutely fantastic! The menu here may be smaller than that of many Mexican restaurants, but you'll definitely find something you'll love. I didn't have to wait for a table at all. The food was quite good. The service was a bit slow, but not excessively so. My friend had the cochinita pibil, and we also ordered the queso dip with fresh jalapeños, which was enjoyable. I ordered the traditional enchiladas, and they were good as well. The atmosphere was definitely cool. Overall, I’d rate the food a 3 out of 5.

Our first time here and we really enjoyed everything we ordered. Drinks, particularly the margaritas were made with real fruit so it tasted even better than most bars. The service was attentive; we didn’t flag anyone down for drinks/help because they came to the table regularly. Our food was super filling and really fresh. I will totally come back in the future to try out more dishes

I visited this restaurant for the first time and I can't recommend it enough. The food is truly authentic Mexican, far from the typical upscale Taco Bell experience. I went on a Tuesday afternoon around 5:15, and the place was already packed—definitely a positive sign. I tried the chicken in a creamy poblano pepper sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. My wife ordered the shrimp with garlic, which was also excellent. The restaurant is clean, and the service was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it! View menu

I am completely convinced that this is THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN THE WORLD. This place is incredible—every dish we sampled was delicious, and the drinks were impressive as well. I had jicama tacos, steak albanil, and a cazuelita. The food, the drinks, the music—everything was absolutely perfect! The staff was fantastic, providing excellent service. Mark (the owner) gave us exceptional attention and was very friendly! I can't wait to return with the Alebrije family; this is definitely my new favorite restaurant!

I know this might sound a bit unusual, so bear with me... Alebrije Mexican offers exquisite, sophisticated dishes at great prices, all within a relaxed, unpretentious setting. Make sure to ask for Elizabeth—she was our server and provided us with outstanding service! Her knowledge and assistance were invaluable. So don't just walk—RUN to Alebrije! I still can't quite pronounce the name of the restaurant, but I'm absolutely in love! Oh, and I can't forget to mention that they serve THE BEST margaritas and cocktails you will ever have at a Mexican restaurant. They only use fresh, organic ingredients!

As for the food, I was very let down. I typically order veggie fajitas at Mexican restaurants, but these were among the worst I’ve had. They served a bland mix of Normandy vegetables that seemed more like frozen veggies thrown into boiling water. There was no vibrant color, no grill marks, and certainly no sizzling from a hot pan. The portion size was the smallest I’ve ever received. The rice lacked flavor, and the vegetables mixed in appeared either freeze-dried or freezer-burned.
