"The restaurant serves delicious traditional southern cuisine. The roasted okra was especially outstanding. I visited twice in one week, once for lunch and once for the breakfast buffet. I tried the grilled chicken sandwich for lunch, which was a bit dry and could have used more seasoning. My nieces enjoyed the chicken tenders and fried chicken sandwiches. My wife was disappointed that the house burger wasn't handcrafted, but she still thought it tasted good. The breakfast buffet was good, but a bit pricey for the selection offered. However, there aren't many other options nearby. We often visit Tante Sue while camping at Table Rock State Park. The roasted okra is a must-try, and don't forget to pick up some of their delicious cookies. They also have an ice cream shop and gift shops on site, making it a nice stop for a meal or snack. My sister's called Aunt Sue by a large portion of our family so when my daughter told me it was there we had to stop! It is one of those cute little country places that are hard to find now. We had a late lunch after a long hike at the state park and found the food and prices very good!

What fun we had here! There is a lot of food. Quite a bit of fried but there's a salad bar too. Sit inside or outside. Most of all enjoy the live music. We stayed a long time and laughed alot. Great place for families. No alcohol here but enjoy the delicious dessert with dinner or buy ice cream, giant cookie or a treat from the little country store. This felt like a mini vacation.

The food was mediocre, but the service was awful! We were the first ones in the restaurant in the afternoon, but after 1 hour and 15 minutes, some of us still hadn't received our food (even though others who arrived after us did). The elderly woman even threatened to call the police on me when I tried to cancel my order. Thankfully, Tante Sue's is lucky that there are no other dining options within a 10-mile radius. View menu

As usual, our dining experience was disappointing. However, the service did not meet our expectations as it has in the past. Our main server did not refill our tea glasses, we had to ask another server to bring out the appetizers, and someone else brought our food. When it came time to pay, the server simply laid one bill on the table without saying anything. We had requested boxes for our leftovers when we placed our order, but had to flag down another server to get them. Hopefully it was just an off day for our server.

Well, I am sad to say that this business has not lived up to it's past reputation. We arrived 5:30 on Friday night. There were several empty tables inside the restaurant. We were told that we would either need to sit outside in the cold wind, or wait. They were holding tables for bigger parties than our 3. So, they would rather us wait so they could sit people who were not there. There were other tables only half full. The hostesses seemed to want to put us at a table but her boss would not allow.
