"really good eating, big he serving. we can get in and they were really busy, but we set ourselves fast. the beer ordered the waitress a great suggestion. I ordered the pulled pigs afteros, woman ordered the speckburger. the owner sat with us as with others in the restaurant. I couldn't eat all my food and couldn't have my wife either. I highly recommend when they are in the opposite. I have questioned some of the negative reviews about the brisket and they did not have it on Wednesday, and it sells fast and do limit how much to cost recently."

Great gem! Nina, our server was awesome. We were visiting the Ark from Tampa, FL and my family and I found this through a google search. The bbq was very yummy and the owners story was inspiring. We highly recommend supporting this small business!

Great food, hospitable and friendly. If you’re ever in downtown Williamstown, Ky., definitely stop in if your staying at a hotel while traveling. It’s family owned and even has a location at The Ark during the summer months. It’s truly worth the visit!!!Brenda and Paul C. from New York View menu

new into the opposite and went after a funeral, during its slow time on the afternoon. from the owner waited, and everything from service to eating was wonderful. the food was delicious, and everyone there was friendly and helpful. this is a great place to eat, and I will make my extra-city guests visit this place.

The rating of 5 was not our experience at Belle’s. The pulled pork sandwich arrived as hunks of pork roast on a stale white bun. The pork was not pulled nor smoked nor seasoned. The baked beans came out of a can w/o any seasoning slightly better than Van Camps. My husband’s hamburger was extremely well done. No one asked him how he wanted it prepared. He would have said medium well. The cole slaw was good, and the decor was a nice tribute to cowboys, first responders, and veterans.

"I don 't like writing this kind of review. My wife and I came to this restaurant after reading these reviews, after shopping in South Jersey. We shared a played of Fried Taro. That was tasty. I had the Massman Curry. It wasn 't the best, but not bad. Avocado was an odd addition to the standard recipie. My wife had Tom Yum with Tofu and Pad Thai Chicken. Just as we started to leave, my wife said she started feeling a weird headache in the center of her forehead, dizziness, inner ear pressure and flushed face. On the way home and for the rest of the night, she has been feeling odd pain in her head, face and neck. After some research, we are concluding this is from an allergy or other reaction to MSG. They do not state if they do or don 't use MSG. Another troubling thing. As I was paying the check, the waiter (owner? told us that we would get a free Thai Iced Tea for every five star review we leave. This is a sketchy way to gin up your review stars average! He said we can do it now. I said no, we will do it later, if at all. He said they do this because they are in a rural area. I don 't think cheating reviews is cool in any area, rural or otherwise. We eat in a lot of rural restaurants that don 't need to skew reviews. I suggest you stay away from this restaurant. We won 't go back. "We visit Scotland Run/Highlander Pub Grill at least once a month for meals, sometimes more often than that. Generally, food and service are very good. However, on Saturday, September 21, 2024, while dining outdoors, there were serious gaps in what is an otherwise enjoyable experience. We sat and wait for extended periods of time for our courses. Our server and the food runners were scarce. Once the food arrived, it was cold and not entirely what we ordered. One member of our dinner party ordered a meal that came with French fries; the French fries were ice cold; the server ask how our food was and we informed her about the cold French fries; the server quickly retrieved a fresh plate of hot French fries. One member of our dinner party ordered a turkey club sandwich. The sandwich had oversized slices of tomato... but negligible amounts of turkey. I ordered the black bean burger; it was served on a roll that fell apart after I took the first bite. The sandwich was served with a side salad, which wasn 't listed on the menu and which I did not request; it 's rather ironic that the server didn 't note this, especially since I ordered/was served an $18 seasonal salad as my first course. The manager stopped by our table and we politely informed him of the poor service and inconsistencies with the food. The manager said, and I quote: I guess you can tell our chef is not here tonight. I told him .. no, I had no idea you didn 't have a chef on duty on a busy Saturday night. He offered to comp one member of our party an after-dinner drink; however, that person doesn 't drink alcoholic beverages. We weren 't looking for any comps; we just wanted to be heard and acknowledged. The manager left our table after 20-30 seconds to not be seen or heard from again. All in all, we made the best of a profoundly disappointing dining experience. We normally love this dining experience. While I 'm sure we will be back, it might be a while. They need to do better."
