"We ordered three sandwich combo meals that came with chips and salsa. My dining companion went to the restroom and returned, suggesting that the restaurant might be facing management issues. She pointed out that there was grime in the corners and around the sinks, and the changing table in the handicap stall was left down and dirty. The salsa resembled pure crushed tomatoes, with only a small amount of chopped onions mixed in. I ordered a club sandwich, but it arrived cold and soggy, with only two slices of bread instead of three. My half sandwich had no visual appeal, and none of the sandwiches seemed hot or appetizing. My friend’s sandwich was also cold and dry. The third sandwich was simply half an onion roll on a plain plate, accompanied by sides that included a small 6-inch pizza, which was probably the best item we received, albeit just average. I ordered pasta primavera, which turned out to be more like a soupy Alfredo with a small portion of grilled vegetables. My daughter’s penne pasta was served with an Alfredo sauce that had badly curdled. When I voiced my concerns to management, they charged me $4.99 for a very small half sandwich, rather than the $8 and change for the combo. I requested to speak with the manager and had to wait for the server to fetch him three times. When he finally arrived at our table, it seemed as if they thought I wouldn't leave until he showed up. All he could tell me was that the sauce hadn’t curdled in the kitchen and, despite seeing the curdled sauce himself, he mentioned that he had no way of knowing if the service had been slow or if the food was cold because he was busy expediting orders. Initially, I asked him if they were busy that night, trying to find some explanation for our terrible dining experience, which I can only describe as the worst I’ve had in over 50 years. To wrap up, I can't help but wonder: Shouldn't managers be aware of what's happening in their restaurant? And if he was expediting food, shouldn’t he have noticed the curdled sauce?"

"Update They went out of business.Too funny. PEOPLE PLEASE READ REVIEWS and believe them. We didn't and we should have. Kinda went on a BBQ tour on our way up from Florida. It started in Texas and we stopped in every state along the way. We had all types and styles in each state. Our final destination was the Ark in Kentucky. We stopped at a place Thursday in Lexington, Kentucky and it was above average from what we were experiencing so we had high hopes of this place near the Ark. We thought that since they were only open 3 days a week that it must be phenomenal. Boy were we wrong. Even though we know where we're going we still ask the locals where to go. It should've been a red flag when only one person recommended it. We went to all the shops along their main strip, the banks, and Log Cabin place. Only one guy recommended it and it wasn't even his top choice. He recommended the Mexican place first, burger place, a local pizza place, and then Belles. He said to get the smokin spud so we got one of those with pork on it. Ya can't go wrong with pork at a BBQ place right? Wrong again. Well the portion size was great, but the pulled pork was very dry and the cheese probably came out of a freezer and tossed on it. It didn't melt the slightest bit. We wanted to send it back to microwave it, but nobody came back to check on us. It was busy, but come on. I took it to the bar to ask if they would do it. I waited a while and said forget it. Some lady/girl was barking orders in the kitchen and degrading other employees. It got weird. Felt sorry for the poor girl waiting on us so I just went back and ate it. Flavor would have been decent if it was fresh BBQ? I think it was leftover from the day before and it was the bottom of the pan. It was dry yet greasy if that makes sense. Other people in our party enjoyed their food, but it was just sides that came from a food supply store. Definitely not homemade or expected to be homemade. I do however expect things like baked beans and slaw to be homemade and they definitely weren't. There were very few locals in there and we figured that out quickly. They were the only table who received good attention by the managers and we could tell. We left full, but not satisfied with the food itself. We tipped the waitress very well because it's not her fault that the food is sub par. We asked around if there's another place we could try on Saturday and people mentioned a few. FOLKS PLEASE READ REVIEWS AND REVIEW YOURSELF ALSO. This place is definitely not a BBQ place. They are a small restaurant with a smoker and they try to smoke food. And I heard they are going to start serving breakfast? HAHAHAHAHA good luck with that! Sincerely, Very Dissapointed Group Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly at all.
