However, due to the rain and my early arrival, I found myself at Big Sur Taphouse instead—and I wasn't disappointed! The nachos topped with a Beyond Meat burger were an ideal afternoon treat to share with friends. The portion was generous and came loaded with a range of toppings, including homemade pickled jalapeños and salsa. Plus, Big Sur Taphouse features a covered and heated back patio, and it's conveniently connected to Big Sur Deli for any additional needs. While Big Sur Bakery and Nepenthe are popular choices, I highly recommend not overlooking the Taphouse as a fantastic alternative."

This place is amazing. We went for lunch and had two beers. They had a special Mardi Gras menu since we arrived the weekend before Mardi Gras. I ordered the shrimp poboy and my friend ordered the blackened fish tacos. Both dishes were delicious and very filling. The bartender was friendly and attractive, so we decided to sit on the outdoor terrace on the top floor. The terrace was decorated with signs and decals on the walls, and some TVs were playing quietly, creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere. While Big Sur Bakery and Nepenthe often get a lot of love, I highly recommend checking out the Taphouse as an excellent alternative.
