"This is the cutest place I've been to! I know Big Sur is incredible over all, but this little hidden gem took my breath away... And now that I am writing this review, I remember I didn't even make it to their outside seating area. I was too obsessed with the cozy decorated interior. I came solo during the holidays and was immediately greeted by the sweet bartender. I forgot her name but I heard her chatting up with every person that walked in. Their cider was crisp and comforting! I was a little hungry and the bartender recommended some food... even from the attached deli next door. They had fresh sandwiches and coffee. Perfect for your one stop shop!"

"A unique café with unspoilt views and great drinks. This is one of a kind of café in Big Sur that offers a fascinating view of the Pacific from a cliff top. The café has a bar and is usually equipped with open seating tables. The drinks are excellent and the bartender is super helpful. Food here is fresh and good tasting. One thing they can improve is the selection in the menu especially for vegetarian/vegan people. There are no vegan options and one vegetarian sandwich. However, this is about the views and should come here to enjoy a meal overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The furnishings of the café are beautiful and quite lively. Give you a picnic vibe just to be here."

"We have been to the Sur House many times over the years; we love sitting on the deck outside having great food and great drinks, chatting with people at the next tables. For this visit we were sent quite a few emails confirmations to make sure that we were coming, and we replied of course. The food was great and the service was very attentive. But when we arrived, after a hour drive from the Bay Area, we were told that the outside deck was not open That was one of the main reasons we come so we can sit outside while we eat and drink. And also...the bar was closed! That would have been good information to know before we committed. We were quite disappointed this information was not transparently provided to us and that our hours of driving was not worth the trip to the Sur House, in our opinion."

"küstenpfeffer? embedded in the middle of the beautiful coasting on the highway 1, big sur bakery is known for their nationally renowned cookbook and their weeks of long queues, which were often sold out in all their baked until midday but is big sur bakery really good? we woke up early and stopped near the opening times to be greeted by a full selection of baked and co-eaters we tried almost everything and ordered almost a dozen pastries (the plate for a single order is over $400 after the cashier) we have saved everything! the savory bakery are so delectable as the sweet cheeks and this big city quality bakery embedded in the woods is so refreshing a surprise like the cool tomorrow air and pazifik wind we will stop on any fall banana again and hopefully beat the morning lines (big sur bakery also served lunch and dinner) ? mocha cookie ham3.75oni ftrudel $"

"Overall, we had a pleasant experience at Sierra Mar. The dishes were expertly prepared and full of flavor, and the staff was quite accommodating regarding dietary restrictions. The view is definitely the highlight of the restaurant; situated on a hill, the stunning vistas of the ocean, cliffs, and sunset create a beautiful atmosphere. However, there were a couple of disappointments during our visit. While our server was seating another table, they wished them "happy anniversary" multiple times and engaged in friendly conversation, yet we were not offered the same acknowledgment despite having noted our own celebration in the reservation. It's worth mentioning that we are a same-sex couple, while the other table was not. Additionally, our server offered extra bread to a table behind us but failed to extend that same offer to us. The disparity in service was quite noticeable and somewhat marred our experience, despite the excellent food and setting."
