"Upon entering, there was a minimal amount of tables, and a lot of open space. When entering, I noticed a server on her phone, and another server who just told us to sit wherever. So we sat wherever. The floor was of maroon color type, and not a clearly lit room. This almost has of an atmosphere that needed to be improved. The chair 's vinyl was ripped and needed to be repaired. The table itself was not large enough to fit a group of 4 people. When we sat down, it took them a while to bring us the menu. Even though the servers can clearly see you, waiting for them, they make minimal effort to come attend you until it 's convenient to them. There were 3 people on the job, for a very small place. You do not need that many servers for only 3 or 4 tables of people eating. The salsa was already out, on the table. It is unclear how long it has been there, and there is a health hazard there as well. Having food out, open, for people to eat for an unknown amount of time. When I ordered, I had to order a cup of water, because they did not bother to bring you a cup when you sat down. Other locations, they will bring you a cup of water as soon as you sit down. While ordering drinks, they did not have all the Mexican favorite drinks such as Jaritos de Pina. As for the antojitos (bites), they did not have Huaraches. This is also a very easy dish to make. If they can have Sopes in the menu, they should have Huaraches as well. After ordering, we had to wait for more than 5 minutes just for a basic cup of water. It should not take that long for someone to bring you water. When the food was coming out, my food was the last to arrive, even though it was the easiest, simplest dish to make: sopes. The sopes, I know it to be skinny and not elevated on the edge. This sope, it was more of a tower of food instead. Not the traditional serving of a sope.I must admit, the food was actually good! Eating it in the building itself. When I ordered again, to go , it was not as delicious as before, and my dish actually had bones in it and the flavor was not there. As for the bones, they should be removing the bones before serving it to the consumer. Now, the Carne en su Jugo, that was also ordered, they wanted to charge for avocado. No where else has charged for avocado in the Carne en su Jugo, but here. The flavor was not entirely there. Other places had a more deep, rich flavor. When done with the food, I wanted to order for to go , and was waiting for the waiter to come by. There were 3 people on the ground, and two of them were busy on their phones, while the last one was occupied with a customer, at the cashier. She, the one occupied, was our original server. (If only one person is working, what is the role of the other two employees who were on the ground?)I had to wave my hand for a good 3 minutes, trying to get their attention. I was also thinking of calling the establishment and request a to go , as well as for the check. My overall rating of this place: 2 out of 5 stars. They will try to charge you for expected items and will give you the minimal hospitality possible."

If there is more than 4 people , they would add up their own tip without even telling you, which is not 15% it is 18%. Im not sure this is legal, but I’m for sure not going back to this restaurant.

Staff was friendly. Birria plate and consume was terrible. No flavor, even w salt and condiments meat tasted old. When they started wiping down the nearby tables there was a horrible stench. I noticed all their towels sit in the same bucket. They pullone out to wipe down and throw it back in the same bucket. Unsanitary, disgusting, never coming back?I won?t be surprised if thefood makes me sick, preparing myself for it.

Hey there! I just wanted to drop a quick review about my first time at this gem of a restaurant. First off, parking was a breeze scored a spot right away in their lot, which is always a win in my book! As soon as we stepped in, we were met with a warm welcome and promptly seated. Can we talk about the salsa and chips for a sec? Whew, they were spicy, but in the best way possible exactly how I like it! Now, let's get to the main event: the Birria Tacos with beans and rice. Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? The flavor was out of this world! Seriously, words can't even do it justice. It was like a flavor explosion in my mouth so, so good!Overall, I can't recommend this place enough. If you...

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
