"see pics below 1st pic is from May visit 2nd pic is from July 10th visit CLEARLY a difference !! Upon arrival, my guest and I discovered that the menu had changed. Once seated the waitress, Mya informed us that the previous chef had been fired, which was surprising that she would be that specific. We ordered several items from the menu; the recipes had clearly changedand not for the good. The cornbread was bland, the French Toast looked more like a glob of bread pudding (the presentation wasless than desirable) and the Frittata with seasonal vegetables was cold, not even close to served lukewarm as indicated by theinterim chef, Kayla. Ultimately the chef came out with a new Frittata which was warm and feedback was given to the chefregarding overall dissatisfaction and presentation of the entrées in which she proceeded to say everyone else likes it andwalked off. After that point service was non existent and I ultimately went to the wait stand for the check. The waitress, Mya,who waited on us was seated at the wait stand, told me that the chef was taking care of the bill and that I was not welcomed tocome back because I was rude for providing feedback regarding the entrées. Although I had NO plans to return due to the lackof concern, lack of professionalism, and nonchalant attitude displayed by the interim chef, Kayla and waitstaff (Mya), Iquestioned the decision behind not being able to return to the establishment. The conversation didn 't go anywhere as Mya wasEXTREMELY RUDE. Out of frustration I told Mya she should not be in the service industry as this is NOT the way you should treatyour customers when they give feedback , I also made a disparaging comment regarding the chef 's oral hygiene, which I realizewhile true was very inappropriate (keep in mind, this was AFTER I was told I wasn 't welcome back) and for that Iapologize. However, the treatment I received while at this establishment was UNACCEPTABLE. In fact, this is the 3rd ti"

The food here was delicious. I ordered the Kobe Beef Hash and the Crab Cakes/Eggs Benedict. They were both divine. The cafe is located inside the museum with art lining the walls. It's a wonderful place for brunch and drinks.

This was such a great place for brunch. The art and the courtyard come together to make this a very unique experience. I would suggest bringing friends! It?s not that busy and quite honestly is now one of my favorite brunch places. I will be back soon this time with a lot of friends!

I was greeted by oh so FRIENDLY staff and seated without much wait time. My server was such a joy and was the utmost tentative to everyone dining at lunch today. I had the chicken salad which was fantastic. A PERFECT balance of textures and freshflavors. I also had the key lime pie which was THE BEST lime dessert I've ever tasted. So creamy, not too sweet, and with theperfect dollop of whipped cream on top.

The salmon was delicious. Very small portion but beautifully plated and worth trying. My daughter loved her summer salad with chicken. It was a a healthy portion and worth the price. My only criticism is the small portion of my meal when it was the mostexpensive. I am not greedy but I had to eat very slowly to be at the same time frame as my daughter. It made for a lovelyafternoon and all staff friendly and welcoming. View menu

The salmon was delicious, although the portion was quite small. It was beautifully presented and definitely worth a taste. My daughter really enjoyed her summer salad with chicken, which was a generous serving and well-priced. My only critique would be that my meal, being the most expensive, had a smaller portion than expected. I'm not being greedy, but I found myself needing to eat slowly to keep pace with my daughter. Overall, we had a lovely afternoon, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming.

On a brighter note, the potatoes were fantastic—extremely tasty with a delightful crispy skin, a welcome contrast to the biscuit. They were well-seasoned, and I even tried rolling them onto the eggs in hopes of salvaging the meal. If you're a fan of crispy bacon, this place is perfect for you. The bacon was outstanding. The sangria and mimosa were also excellent. The menu is quite limited, which is fine, but the few options should be executed with greater care. I probably won't be returning or recommending Cafe Sebastian, as the food scene in Kansas City is too vibrant to settle for a mediocre meal.

Café Sebastienne was a great choice for Father?s day brunch. Not pictures we started with lamb sausages which were basic, but delicious. I had the biscuits and gravy with breakfast potatoes and the gravy was excellent. Creamy and full of flavor, and the biscuits and potatoes were great too. My girlfriend and her father had the Eggs Benedict and the the yolks were perfect with the English muffins. Her father?s husband had the pork hash and loved it as well. Pictured is the lime cake which had cotton candy on top. The cake was moist and full of flavor. Service was also excellent, and I will be keeping Cafe Sebastienne in mind for the future. View menu

Don’t know why it took me this long to try this place out, since I’m obsessed with anything brunch related. I just loved the setting of this place, just the fact that it’s in Kemper Museum surrounded by eclectic art makes it worth the visit. We triedtheir biscuits and gravy, squash and goat cheese omelette and French toast with raspberry purée and ice cream. Such a good mealexperience, I couldn’t get enough of the crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside smashed potatoes. The French toast wasincredible and we didn’t even need the syrup because the ice cream and berry purée were all it needed. The omelette wasn’tanything special and next time I will probably try their cornbread and somethi...

The venue is very neat. You are surrounded by contemporary art (totally not my thing) underneath a glass ceiling. The staff is very friendly and service is ok. I ordered the biscuits and chorizo and lamb gravy. The biscuit was a cornbread type ofbiscuit. It was very dense and lacked flavor. The gravy (not pictures) was utterly disappointing as well. I was expecting anexplosion of flavor with the chorizo and lamb, but received a flavorless speckled paste you would expect from a 7th grade homeeconomics class. The consistency was off and it needed salt. Well, not just salt; love. It was bad. The eggs that came with themeal must have been cooked in the same 7th grade class. The texture was great...
