"1st timers and we wasn 't impressed. It 's definitely pricey , in my opinion the food is mediocre. Guess your paying for The Castle experience. The coffee was Terrible even after requesting some hot coffee and not the cold coffee that came out first. We were in the bar area because we had a party of 12 and a lot of the chairs had stains on them. The bacon and sausage wasdelicious. The best part was taking photos and having the castle in the background. Except for some of my family members who hadsome adult beverages, they said the drinks were the best they 've had for a long time. We may have to go back and give dinner atry. It is a Great experience...Ummmmm......I was actually pretty disappointed. I actually thought this was going to be a greatexperience just judging from the outside of the castle. In my opinion you get more enjoyment looking at the outside than you doon the inside. My family and I went for brunch. Overall, the food was just mediocre. In my opinion the price that we paid forbrunch it should have been better. Some of my family members had a few drinks and they said those were Some of the bestdrinks they 've had.I was wanting and hoping for more.. The sprite was watered down. DJ was our server and he done a great job.I thought it was going to be a much better experience than it was. It was just kinda blah... I will say it 's beautiful forpictures. Maybe we 'll have to try to go back for dinner because brunch just wasn 't at all what I thought it was going to be.The chairs that we sat in had stains in them and was dirty I would think with this being The Castle everything would be onpoint... ummm it wasn 't. I mean I guess it is a nice place to go just to have the experience and to say that you 've visited thecastle. If I never went back I would be perfectly fine… All I can say is Don 't Believe the Hype"

Great place to have a nice dinner and go to the rooftop to wait for a sunset view. The lamb ribs as a starter is great! The portion of if could be order as an main course.

This is a wonderful spot for a lovely dinner, and the rooftop is perfect for watching the sunset. The lamb ribs make for an excellent starter—it's substantial enough to be considered a main course!

First off, the castle atmosphere is really fun! Dinner was very good. The lamb chops were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The 8 oz filet was also amazing! Our kids destroyed it! Josh our waiter was very helpful with bourbon flight selections thanks! Onlything I would suggest is more seasoning/flavor on the watermelon salad. But definitely a must try experience!

The château atmosphere is quite charming! Dinner was excellent. The lamb chops were well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. The 8-ounce filet was also outstanding—our kids loved it! Josh, our waiter, was incredibly helpful with the bourbon flight selection, thank you! One suggestion I have is to add more spices or flavor to the watermelon salad. Overall, it's definitely a must-try experience! View menu

My first trip to KY Castle. We went as a Valentine's date for dinner at Castle Farms. I ordered off the Valentine's menu featuring 4 course meal for $75. I actually enjoyed all courses but the timing between courses was way too long. They weren't very busy when we started so I'm not sure why. Food overall was good but not fantastic. The dining room was not as lavish as I expected either. I did enjoy looking around and the bar area. Bartender was fabulous, our wine and drinks were great.

This was our first time there. Is it pricey? Yes. Is it worth it? Also yes. The ambience was stunning and it was romantic to be able to explore the grounds while waiting for our reservation. Our server was very helpful and described the menu items in a waythat made decisions easier. The food itself was absolutely delicious. Their farm to table philosophy results in amazing freshfood with an incredible depth of flavor. This is a really great place to dine for formal or special occasions.

We picked the Castle Farm to celebrate our anniversary. Everything exceeded our expectations from the scenery to the service, atmosphere, and food. We started off with peppers and pork belly appetizers. The soup of the day was a red pepper bisque thatwas to die for. We enjoyed the lamb, and the chicken breast as our main dishes. Cheesecake with caramel sauce also hit the spotfor dessert. Sabrina checked on our table. She was courteous, engaging, and an overall delight. We would definitely go backagain. Two thumbs up. The Castle Farms is a wonderful restaurant located inside the beautiful castle in Lexington. It began as a labor of love when Rex and Caroline Martin purchased the land to break ground in 1969. They were taken by European castles they'd seen while vacationing in 1968 and wanted to create something special back home in Lexington. The property has since change ownership a couple of times but has remained a decades long iconic landmark in the heart of horse country. The main structure was completely rebuilt after a devastating fire in 2004. Ultimately, it's become a bucket list destination for many Kentuckians. Inside, you'll now find a lovely hotel/spa and 5-star dining where the food is incre...

"My family of 9 adults and 2 children had reservations for Mother 's Day. Using Open Table for reservations left us not knowing there was a limited menu. (And I do mean limited!! A family member did see on Facebook a couple of days prior what the menu would be. At this point, we decided it would be too late to go elsewhere so we kept our reservations. We were greeted by 2 very friendly young ladies. Our table was ready when we arrived and we had a room to ourselves which was nice. The very unhappy waitress came to get drink orders and we asked a few questions about the menu. After getting our drinks, she returned to take our food order. During this time she managed to let us know that she had worked 13 hours the previous day and did not want to be there. Not what you want to hear from your server. Drink refills were very slow. Appetizers were just so so and the fact they were room temperature did not help the taste. When the entrees started coming out, they came in shifts. Some people had completely finished eating before others got their entrée. Now for the entrees......NO SIDE ITEMS????? Really????? The waffles looked and tasted as if they had been prepared the day before and reheated in the microwave. Some plates were accompanied by 2 scrawny pieces of chicken and some had 4 pieces. The small piece of cod was completely hidden by the so called mango salsa . The only entrée that was half way ok was the quiche which was more like a casserole. At this point, we were no way going to even try a dessert. We had high hopes that The Paddock would be close to Addie 's but were extremely disappointed. I heard the same review from a coworker regarding a family member of hers that was there also. Unfortunately, it was bad enough that I wouldn 't give it a second try nor would I recommend it to friends. On a positive not, we did have some great laughs at how ridiculous our experience was as well as getting some great pictures on the porch."
