"It's an odd situation. The food was actually quite good, despite being mostly fried. I tried their Fried Burger Bomb, and it was clear that they use fresh ingredients. The staff were friendly and professional. The atmosphere was what you'd expect from a restaurant in a deep suburban area, which was fine. However, it was obvious that this restaurant is facing challenges. The staff, while doing their best, seemed overworked and were definitely in short supply. Nearly half of their menu items were unavailable."

I really enjoyed the food, and the prices were reasonable. The bar area was quiet enough to have a conversation, and there is ample seating for families. View menu

The Turkey Rachel tasted just like leftover Thanksgiving turkey. I probably wouldn’t order it again, but the bread and fries were enjoyable, and everything else on the menu looked appealing.

Had the build your own hamburger with cheese curds. Many options for build your own burger including multiple topping options. Very much improved from a few years ago when I vowed to never go back.

This place is a step up from a typical dive, offering excellent food, outstanding service, and a fantastic selection. They always have a homemade soup that has never disappointed me. I spent a week in Monticello and visited this restaurant every day; I was consistently treated very well. I couldn't be more pleased with my experiences there. View menu

Had dinner here today with my husband. I ordered the fish and chips. The food was made fresh, and the portion was decent. I loved the fish and the tartar sauce. However, the waffle fries were very salty. My husband, meanwhile, ordered the special which was the quarter pound basket. Unfortunately, this one really missed the mark. The onion rings were very salty as well. The burger was dry and not seasoned at all. Maybe cut back on the salt a little? I do appreciate all the

I?m really bummed to be writing this, because I really liked the environment of the restaurant. However, the last time I went, will be the last time I go. Our waitress came to take our orders and pulled the menu out of my fiends hand (as my friend was still ordering off of the menu) I ordered a Juicy Lucy, as all Minnesotans know, it?s supposed to be stuffed with cheese. I ordered it without a bun, it was COVERED in lettuce so I didn?t notice the monstrosity that lay below.

"We were passing through on our way home from Minneapolis held off to get breakfast umtil we were outside of the busier areas. Our mistake. We stopped to fill the tank turned to the Yelposphere for direction on food. This time, y'all steered me wrong. On approach, the name made perfect sense the location was nice, with ample outdoor seating. Inside was a different vibe than outside, I'm going to go with a bit shabby. There are games available I like the idea of what I think this place could be. We took a seat, with one other table occupied. I believe our server was new as she had to check things like soup of the day whether or not they sell tomato juice (they do a big ole cup of it too). We were handed menus my husband pointed out that we needed to calculate an extra 20% above the menu pricing. I'd assumed gratuity was being included but he corrected me said that they have increased prices 20% and haven't updated the menus yet, gratuity still needed to be added. (I didn't see the notice personally). We ran right at $37/2 2 meals a tomato juice. We ordered and the food was up quickly too quick... they should have microwaved it another minute or so. The hashbrowns, chicken fried steak gravy were all luke warm. The eggs came out as ordered. No seasoning was added to the eggs or hashbrowns, which I'm ok with, as I like to control my salt intake. Simply put, it was edible but it wasn't good. One note, no flavor not to temp. I'd have been ok comparatively with a drive thru I'm not a fast food eater. Maybe we should have tried the desserts. I suppose that could be the real star here. Overall, the price wasn't crazy high, the food was edible the service was attentive. I didn't see a lot of options in the area next time we'll keep that in mind with our routing and stop planning. I can't in good conscience recommend eating here based on this experience I wouldn't come back."
