"My husband and I are enjoying our time here at the Senator so far. We came here for an event offsite and stayed in a room across from the pool (185). The room was okay, but a bit smaller than we expected, but had standard amenities that you’d expect at most hotels. The bed is really comfortable and our large dog was also very comfortable in the space, which is super important as he gets very anxious in new places. We have not tried the restaurant yet, but it looks like an amazing place. What I was most impressed by was the Spa and fitness area. The fitness center had a ton of equipment and machines perfect for a traveler needing to keep in shape. The weights were a huge bonus! The spa staff was absolutely amazing. Specifically, Skye who went out of her way to show me around and help me schedule a service the next day that worked for me. The day of my service she remembered my name as I walked in and was very personable. She walked me up to the spa area and made sure I had everything I needed. Working in customer service for over 20+ years, I was so impressed to see such a young face with some of the best customer service skills I’ve seen in quite some time. Keep it up Skye! Tammy was also very kind and helpful upon my exit. Also, I cannot forget the lovely esthetician I had, Melinda. I had a facial refresher and it was the best service. She was also very personable and made me feel special, even though it was only 30 minutes. That tingling face mask is the best! My only regret is not booking more services in advance, but now I have a place to come every time I visit Maine to see family. I will be returning."

We stayed with our dogs, so our room was not the best they had to offer. That I understand, the entire bathroom could do for an update. The exhaust fan didn't work at all. And when the heater fan went on, it smelled like something burning. The pool and spa area were very nice. The outdoor pool looked well kept too.Rooms: 3/5

The staff at this restaurant is excellent! I visited with my softball team for the weekend, and they were extremely accommodating. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel, although I think some updates to the décor could enhance the overall atmosphere. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling to the Augusta area!

The place is so outdated nothing like the pictures. the best part of our room there were plenty of towels. Unfortunately, there was 1/2 roll of toilet paper no kleenex and the bathroom smelled like urine. Fortunately, that issue was taken care of by housekeeping. Front door stuck so hard we couldn’t open it there was also an interior door that worked. Fortunately it was 1 night and we worked around issues but probably would not stay again

The room was dirty, outdated, and felt stuffy. The mattress covers sagged all the way to the floor. Although the air conditioning ran constantly, the room still felt uncomfortable. There were no outside vents in the bathroom. They do not allow late check-outs beyond two hours and even charge half a day's room fee for it. On a positive note, the spa and pool were fantastic. My first stay in 2022 was enjoyable, but the room in 2023 didn't justify the price. View menu

The shower was spacious and had great adjustable water pressure. We appreciated that we could access the room from the outside, in addition to having a door that led to the hotel’s interior hallway. It was convenient to bring our belongings directly in from the car. The pool area closed at 9 PM, which I think should be extended to at least 10 or 11 PM—this is my only gripe! The natatorium was warm, which felt nice after swimming. Just be sure to bring slip-on shoes, as the slip-resistant floor can be tough on your feet. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone passing through Augusta!

Room 128 very good stay; good choice for accommodations while participating at the IM Maine 70.3 location is excellent, spa area (fitness, yoga studio, pool, etc. is outstanding. Disappointing that the restaurant was not open for dinner possibly add a few more items on the lounge menu it would be good. Beds are ok, however could be upgraded along with pillows; need some countertop space in the bathroom nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom; great to have fridge, microwave in the room; as an IM participant, it was great to have a walkout to parking. Thanks so much will be back next year!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in the King Spa Suite, great layout and very spacious for 2ppl. The bed was comfortable as well as the pillows. I was abit concerned after reading some of the reviews but found this was not the case for us. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We both used The spa and Fitness Pool -It was clean, well kept and more than enough machines , both weight, cardio for a good workout. We ate breakfast at Cloud 9- great breakfast both days! All and all a pleasant experience and we would stay here again! A big thank you to Tammy, who was so nice in the Spa for really helping me choose a few products from The Spa!

We are experiencing Maine for the first time. I m happy to say we are judging by the stay here. The room was very outdated, except the bathroom looked recently renovated. The bed was awful. Sank in the middle from every direction. Our traveling friends had the same experience in their room. When I complained to the front desk, the clerk was apologetic and said I should have something last night when we arrived… and then proceeded to ask me if I would like my receipt printed or emailed…I would say this is a budget hotel that lacks the care to update their facility where it counts. I didn’t expect the Hilton for the price, but I did expect a bed I could actually sleep in…

"Hands down the best food I've had in Augusta. In Augusta for work, and have been trying out various restaurants with the work crew. This place I is the first that had me saying I'm coming back. EVERYTHING was good! Seating is limited and there was a short (10min) then from there it's either buffet style or takeout option. We dined in, which gave me a chance to sample EVERYTHING. I started with the salmon in lemon sauce. Not overcooked and just delicious. This was my favorite. Seconds were had. Next up was the fried pork loin. Probably my least favorite protein but still good. I'm not much of a pork person and still enjoyed. Then the barbeque chicken. This..was..good. seasoned to the bone. For sides, there was some corn and lima beans and plain rice. After this, we had the beef gumbo. The gumbo truth be told was more a soup. For me gumbo needs to be a little thicker...heartier. Whatever you want to call it delicious. The beef was seasoned well, tender and the broth flavoured with okras. There was also a salad bar, and I just had a fresh salad. Typical salad toppings with some.black olives and jalapenos to spice it up a little. Not sure about the dressing, I did without. Then everything was topped off with the peach cobbler. I enjoyed this as well, probably because it was not overly sweet. But I know people are passionate about their cobbler, so opinions will very. All in all, I'm definitely going back and look forward to different daily dishes. We were told when leaving tomorrow (Friday) is fried chicken day."
