great chicken taste that is hard to beat. the place is not setup for enjoyable dining, although the workers work eagerly to earn a tip. For now, definitely a to-go place to order from.

The chicken soup was clear and especially delicious on such a cold, rainy day. The chicken and sauces paired really well together, and the pickles were also tasty. We all enjoyed the peanuts and cucumber as well. The portion of rice was generous and full of flavor. As for the price, it was reasonable. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

I've tried their A meal for a family dinner, the food was delicious, good value too. Their chicken is fresh and moist, I especially like it with the ginger/green pinion sauce. The meal came with soup, pickled cucumber, peanuts and chicken rice, good combination. I only wish their chicken wings price can be more reasonable. I will definitely go back. View menu

We ordered the Combo B for takeout. We've only had Hainan Chicken Rice a couple of times. That said, this combo was the perfect comfort food to share with our friends.Super tender and juicy chicken with awesome chicken rice. The sides and sauces are brilliant. Every component works together in harmony. If you try it I'm certain that you will experience food joy.

I really want to rate this 5 stars. But I've had Hainan chicken rice from SF bay area that was better. So I can only rate this 4 stars. Having said that, that best Hainan chicken rice I've had very delicious chicken rice and Cluck2go's rice is much harder. Chicken wise, I think cluck2go is better.Chicken is very tender and soft. I've been to his restaurant several times over the years, and have always enjoyed their food and service, but our order tonight was a little bit disappointing. The rice was a little too soft and mushy, and not as flavorful as before. The chicken was fine, but our to-go order was missing their signature house-made sweet soy sauce. I do feel a little bad for giving this restaurant a not-so-favorable review, but I felt this would be the only way for its management to take notice and work on these issues. I’m so excited to have Cluck2Go nearby; it’s definitely one of my favorite places for Hainan chicken! I’ve tried both the dark and white meat, and I highly recommend choosing the dark meat. The chicken comes completely deboned, and the rice is cooked in chicken broth, which adds a lovely flavor. They also serve pickled vegetables and a side of broth, making it a fantastic value for your money. While the restaurant isn't the fanciest and is a bit small, the delicious Hainan chicken is what really attracts customers! The service is excellent, and there’s plenty of parking available around the block, which is a definite advantage. I have no complaints at all!

Just for the hainan chicken alone, it would’ve been an easy 4 5 stars, as the meat is tender and the green sauce is awesome. Portions are generous. The rice and broth are meh kinda bland and could be more flavorful.The main reason for the lowered rating is the terrible inconsistency in the quality of their dishes, especially the cucumber salad and peanuts. If you’re lucky, as we were one day, you’ll get well flavored sides. This is our first time to try Cluck 2 Go in Pasadena location. We've been to the one in Rowland Heights but we didn't like it. My family were a bit hesitated to try but I insisted to give it a try because this is the original one and reviews seem pretty good. Anyhow, we didn't regret it and it was so delicious! We had late lunch today so we ordered combo B on the menu.
