"My wife, friends, and I have been dining at The Cottage for over 10 years. The dinner selection is excellent, and it's hard to find a place that serves homemade meals that don't taste like they've come straight from a container. Every dish is beautifully presented, tastes amazing, and is freshly prepared. I dine at The Cottage at least twice a month, often more. This restaurant offers excellent food and service, and it's my favorite place to dine. They specialize in Southern American cuisine and have been recognized for having the best fried chicken in the Greater Cincinnati area for several years. The prices are also very reasonable.

"First time trying the wich doctor. I will be back. I was torn between the Cuban and Hecate, and several sides. I am indecisive and I settled on the Hecate, mac and cheese, Pasta Salad Loaded Potato Salad. I wanted to try them all. Better than ordering two sandwiches I knew I couldnt finish. The sandwich was delicious, not too spicy. The sides were okay, the Loaded Potato Salad was different than what were use to seeing locally. I think it has ranch in it, maybe. I also ordered an iced coffee with salted caramel with oat milk, it was tasty. I highly recommend and will be back. Thank you."

"I had to subtract one star due to the incorrect spice level. I noticed that my order receipt didn’t indicate zero spice like it usually does, which means that the person taking the order did not note my preference. This is likely what caused the issue, not the chef. Maybe the person taking orders was new; these things happen. Otherwise, I truly enjoy the food from this restaurant — it’s always delicious, fresh, and well-portioned. Thank you!"

"I met up with some friends for lunch and we took advantage of the lovely patio on a sunny day. Our waitress was very attentive and let us chat for a long time without making us feel rushed, which was nice. Unfortunately, the lamb burger I ordered was dry and didn't meet the high standard I've had in the past. However, my friends seemed to enjoy their meals. Overall, I was pleased with the experience except for the food. I still plan to return, as I usually have a much better dining experience there. Hopefully, this disappointing meal was just a one-off."

"We arrived at the restaurant shortly after 6:30pm. As we entered, we noticed that a group of three women behind us were greeted before us, which we found strange. We were seated at a table and ordered an appetizer. Unfortunately, the Crab Rangoons and sauce were terrible. However, the Hot and Sour soup was good. My entree was overwhelmed with sauce, the vegetables were undercooked, and despite being listed as spicy, it was sweet like pancake syrup. It seems that this restaurant may have been better in the past, but it appears they have lost their passion for cooking. The prices are excessive for the quality of the food. We felt there was no value for what we received on our plates, and it seemed more like a place for the wealthy to spend money and socialize. We will not be returning.
