"We’ve been looking forward to dining at this restaurant for a year, so we were thrilled to finally secure a reservation. The ambiance is charming, and the service was attentive—perhaps overly eager to emulate higher-end establishments, but still commendable. The staff took the time to carefully explain the menu items and were readily available for questions, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations at all! While a couple of the starters, like the sweet potatoes, were enjoyable, most were lackluster. The three main dishes we ordered were particularly disappointing. We were eager to try the homemade pasta, but it was undercooked (it seemed they aimed for al dente but fell short), and the sauces accompanying the pasta were overly salty and not very flavorful. The cod dish was notably bland and did not resemble or taste like cod at all; we even speculated that it might have been tilapia or some other fish, as cod typically has a very distinct taste. The menu is small and frequently changes, featuring only three permanent items, which can often be a good indication of quality. The staples include Angry Chicken and Rigatoni. There are limited options for veganizing some dishes, and while the portion sizes are on the smaller side, that alone isn’t an issue. Overall, we left feeling quite let down, especially considering how bustling the restaurant was and how long we had waited to try it. While I want to support local businesses, there are simply far better dining options in the area at this price point, so you won’t be missing out if you decide to skip this one."

My wife and I decided to try out Corto even though the menu seemed small. We were extremely pleased with the service, quality of food, pricing and etc. What a great and cozy restaurant. FYI: its BYOB. Definitely going back ASAP

The menu is in constant flux, ensuring that fresh ingredients and vibrant energy come straight from the kitchen. The atmosphere is casual, yet it remains pleasantly quiet. Personally, I prefer sitting indoors unless the weather is particularly nice, as dining outside can sometimes be a bit chilly (outside of summer) or sticky in the summer heat—after all, we are in Jersey City.

This is an absolutely fantastic Italian restaurant that feels like home. The BYOB policy really enhances the experience, especially since there's no uncorking fee. They offer a rotating menu, which keeps things interesting. The ambiance is really cool, featuring an open kitchen and outdoor seating options. The waitstaff is incredibly attentive and friendly. Treat yourself to everything on the menu—you won't regret it! View menu

Visiting our son and daughter in law last weekend in Jersey City and had a fantastic meal here. All dishes were delicious, so fresh, homemade pastas outstanding, sauces perfect, very innovative dishes. Delicious Sea Bass and each bite of pork was so tender. The best meal we have had in years. BYOB is nice feature. They concentrate on preparing and serving the best food. Wish I could eat here once a week but too far from NC! What a gem of a restaurant.

Corto has the best pasta in Jersey City. My friends and I ordered family style and shared three different pastas: rigatoni, malfadini, and gnocchetti sardi. Each of them were delicious, but the standout was the malfadini, which had a delicious peppery taste. We also loved the ricotta honey toast appetizer the cheese was fluffy, and the top was loaded with spice. The inside of Corto is small and the staff is personable, both of which added to a really homey, comfortable vibe. We will definitely be going again!

We brought my daughter here to celebrate her birthday, and we absolutely loved it. The homemade pasta and ricotta cheese were exceptional—simply amazing! They serve a ricotta honey toast that is out of this world. Normally, I’m not a fan of ricotta, but this was both unique and delicious. The crusted bass is difficult to put into words; it was incredibly tasty. We will definitely be returning. Oh, and did I mention they have lovely outdoor seating? Unfortunately, there wasn’t a spot available for us, so we ended up sitting inside. Either way, it’s a fantastic place to eat! View menu

This place may just be my new favorite restaurant in the area! Incredible, fresh, and well-prepared simple but flavorful Italian dishes with fantastic al-dente pastas and tender meat dishes (highly recommend the Rigatoni and the Angry Chicken). Even the ricotta and honey toast starter blew my friends and I away. Don't trust anyone who dislikes the menu! The atmosphere is great as well, cozy dining room with an open kitchen that is fun to observe, and nice outdoor area in back If you go with a decent sized group, heavily recommend doing the family-style option, if available. Everything was chosen by the kitchen directly and it was fun to be surprised by their best offerings. All our crew love...

When my partner and I started planning our small wedding, we agreed that the food would be the top priority. We also envisioned a setting that felt like a cozy family home—warm and inviting. Corto met all of our expectations. We reserved the restaurant for a Friday evening and invited 38 guests. Our ceremony was held under the pergola, followed by a cocktail hour indoors and our reception outside. We collaborated with Love Wed Collective (based right here in Jersey City) and, with the exceptional support of Corto, we had a beautiful celebration. While we were confident in the restaurant’s ability to serve an incredible meal, wedding planning can be quite stressful and comes with many uncer...

"I love Vibez! Def good vibes too,and always nice to support a local minority owned business. And even though I have a blender and juicer, I visit frequently (it's literally a block away so I pass it all the time). A lot of great juice/smoothie options and a lot of choices for making your own. I'm not vegan/veg so I was never inclined to try the food out but wow when I had the lentil patty I was blown away, much better than a traditional beef patty, the crust is super flaky and the lentils are perfectly seasoned. I'd say definitely a go-to of mine, and can't wait to try other food items there. I hate to leave off with something negative, but there is an employee there that sometimes takes a really long time to complete an order, I'd call in a for pickup and often times would be waiting 15-20 minutes for my drink to be ready. And another time I ordered a drink with mint and it was extract instead of fresh mint, which I had no idea otherwise I wouldn't have ordered with it. When I took a sip it was super overwhelming and honestly bad tasting. I asked if she could make the drink again (well more so pleased because she wasn't with it at first), but I think she just poured out half and added more apple juice because I could still taste it. I didn't want to push the inside, but I think fresh mint should be an option since extract can over power other flavors and leave a bad after taste. With that being said, I will still frequent Vibez and it's a great option to have in the heights."
