"Overall, it was good. It is Indian food afterall. That said, it wasn 't our favorite. We always have a hard time deciding what to order so we love sampler platters but they don 't have one. The server didn 't seem to knowledgeable about the menu and wasn 't too keen on asking the cooks details we needed to know. We were there for nearly two hours and most of it was spent waiting for our server to come to our table. At first we thought it was because they were busy but about an hour into our visit it died down considerably and we still never saw our server. We had to find extra silverware on our own and eventually had to flag down a host or busboy (not sure) to advise that our daughter 's meal, which was supposed to be mild, was in fact spicy and she couldn 't eat it. He eventually got our server but rather than explain, he just told her we had a problem with our food. When we did explain, she said looked at the order on her device and confirmed it said mild. We were not doubting that she entered the ordered correctly, we 're doubting that it was prepared correctly. Big difference. Next time I think we 'll just drive out to Baymeadows instead and go to Maa Kitchen."

"From the moment you walk in this place has the feel of something special. You can tell this place is a team all working hard to provide you with the best possible meal. We got lucky and had two seats at the kitchen bar so you can really enjoy all the action from the open view. The food is remarkably beautiful and carefully crafted. Everything was fresh and timed perfectly. We really enjoyed the wine list opting for whites rather then red wine we normally have because it really paired well with our choices. We did not go wrong! And amid a busy Saturday night dinner chef even took the time to greet us and ask how our meal was so far. Highly recommend"

"We’ve been coming to Neptune Beach, FL for our vacation, 2x a year for 7 years, in part because of the wonderful food at North Beach Fish Camp. HOWEVER, our experience this time was not at all what we’ve experienced in the past. All our food was just okay. In fact, most of it was overcooked. We even speculated that the mussels had been reheated from the day before. The clams and fries were so over fried, they were hard and leathery. The vegetables were very mushy from over cooking. We know they’ve had a new manager for about a year and since he arrived things have not been as good overall. Some of the wait staff that have been there for years are now also gone. Not sure if that’s any indication of where the trouble lies. They definitely have a problem in the kitchen they need to fix and fast! I hate to say that after our long history with this restaurant we would consider not returning. We will give it one more try again in the fall. If it fails again, we will be looking for a new vacation location and feel sad that something so good has ended."

"Visited around 5pm on a weeknight and we had no wait. Our server (named Jacob or Jason advised it was happy hour so we enjoyed reduced price cocktails and an appetizer of fried pickles. The service was great, the ambiance and decor was unique and the drinks were amazing. The meats were also pretty tasty and very tender. But the sides need quite a bit of improvement in my opinion. My companion had the 2 meat platter with mashed potatoes and green beans and I had the brisket with collards and mac and cheese. The green beans were the only side that was decent. The collards had zero flavor and the mac and cheese was bland and mushy. I couldn't even eat the cornbread. I rarely eat canned foods but a can of glory greens and box of jiffy mix would have tasted better. I'm from North Carolina so perhaps it's a cultural or regional difference but when I eat barbecue and or southern inspired foods I expect the food to be seasoned. Simply adding some seasoning to the vegetables and sharp cheddar to the mac would go a long way toward improvement. Our server was exceptional and whoever makes the drinks (the mojito is the best I've ever had! deserves kudos which is basis for the generous 4 star rating."
