"A fine gentleman at Anima Mundi recommended this restaurant and I'm so glad that he did. The sushi rolls were excellent as was the crispy tempura. I was impressed with the quality of the iced green tea. (tea nerd here). I was happy that they had brown rice. Our waitress was very attentive and polite. The atmosphere is nothing special(nice but not essential) but we had a window table so I was quite happy. Despite the fact that I live in Manhattan I can't wait to go back.Vegetarian options: I'm always happy when a japanese restaurant offers brown rice. The vegetables were fresh and tasty.Parking: we found a parking spot 1/3 of a block from the restaurant. meter didn't take credit cards so we fed it quarters."

"My husband thinks her fried chicken is even better than Kentucky Fried Chicken! I dine out often and have never had anything greasy here. I absolutely love her thin-skinned dumplings, General Tso's chicken, and the sweet and sour dishes. They offer delivery, and there's Wi-Fi available in the restaurant, so you can work on your computer while enjoying your meal. I definitely give them a thumbs up!"

"it was terrible. they forgot us in the private room. we had to get up and ask someone to drink. they never came back and asked if we wanted more. no show for hibachi just cooked. never asked if we wanted to drink something, and we all had empty glasses, and I brought it with me without asking if we wanted anything else. the floor was so slippery. there were old eating at the grill. we were there for a special occasion and even decorated the room. they didn't make it special at all, we totally forget and unintentional. so grief."

"From a customer service sector it comes as easy as 1.2, 3, but SAMURAI in CROTON HUDSON, NY does not understand that! Every time I come to lunch and the boys? Hostess? Who is sitting right at the door? not using the basic human abilities as to say? How are you, thank you for coming! All she does is staring at her phone as there is not life beyond her screen. When she lifts her face off the screen, she is either soft, rude and or gives RACIST Vibes as if she doesn't know how to deal with DIFFERENT CULTURES. At the end of the day, your chefs save your reputation with great food, because your service representatives are?t allow me to hand over 1 star for this facility!"

"Awesome atmosphere. Friendly staff but the food was not good. The shrimp shumai is pre-made frozen. The gyoza was ok probably frozen as well. The pinaple fried was bland and flavorless. The sushi was terrible. Fell apart when I tried to eat it. The crab in the spider roll was burnt. The water front roll was just gross and the Japanese fried rice is the same as the pinaple just with out pinapl. No flavor no seasoning. It's not even fried!!!! Don't waste your time or money."

"I've been dining at this restaurant since before the pandemic, so I have quite a bit of experience to share. It's a cash-only establishment with an all-you-can-eat menu featuring fresh fish. The only reason I wouldn't give it a five-star rating is that the owner doesn't always perform quality control as frequently as needed. Occasionally, this can lead to some less-than-fresh fish, particularly in the summer when shelf life can be an issue. On the upside, popular options like salmon and tuna are usually fresher since they are in constant demand, so they tend to have a quicker turnover. When I do encounter a bad batch, I always let the owner know, and he promptly offers a replacement cut, which is great since he trusts my feedback as a regular customer. The atmosphere is fairly average, but I primarily come for the food, so it doesn't bother me much. If you have a more Western palate, I highly recommend asking for spicy mayo on the side."

"The last time we ate here we had the most delicious Oysters Rockefeller. The waitress said the had them, but came back after our appetizer and said they didn't have them. By then we had finished a humongous and expensive salad. My wife then had a small shrimp cocktail and I had fish and chips. The breading was overdone, almost black and the prices were out of sight. Happy hour consisted of glasses of expensive wine and for glasses of house vodka. The cheapest price I remember anywhere. You would thin a seafood restaurant would be able to make fish and chips properly. For a drink for Happy Hour appetizers and main course, the bill came to almost with tip. They had a huge menu but nobody was in the restaurant at Lots of people around the bar which is understandable, but for just a salad is off the charts. I will return only when the get their shellfish, which was a highlight of past dining."

"If you're after a spot for a post-work beer or a pre-Mariners/Seahawks bite with excellent Japanese cuisine, this is the place to be! Though it's relatively new, it's definitely a hidden gem in the Sodo area. I enjoyed three different sushi rolls and spent some time at the bar with the wonderful Rika. The food was outstanding, but the service truly matched, if not surpassed, the delicious dishes we savored. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the neighborhood and craving a variety of Japanese options like karaage, sushi, and ramen. Ask for Rika—she'll take great care of you. A solid 10/10, and I’d definitely recommend it to a friend!"

"Stopped in here after seeing it while out and about one day. It was my bday and my wife and I had been burned on a couple of new restaurants we had recently tried so we were hesitant. From the service, to the drinks, to food, impeccable. The food was delish and reasonably priced. Had 3 drinks, 2 apps, and a roll and paid under $100, and that’s including the over 20% tip. "I frequently order the 2 or 3 roll lunch special, usually once a week. It's always carefully packaged and prepared quickly. I particularly appreciate how they consistently provide plenty of fresh ginger with their rolls! If you're looking for something new to try, the Veggie Combo roll has become a delightful addition to my favorites. You can't go wrong with options like Spicy Tuna, Shrimp Tempura, or the Alaska Roll in the lunch combo as well. I've also tried their specialty rolls, which I really enjoy. While the soup and salad in the lunch combo are just average, it's still a fantastic value, even if I don't end up eating the salad."

"On the high recommendation of a good friend and the highly rated reviews, I was eager to make the trek to Cousins Maine Lobster. I had high expectations based on the many great reviews. Let me tell you, I was mot disappointed! Last Saturday I walked through the door to be greeted by Dara, with a huge smile and friendly personality. I ordered the warm Connecticut Lobster roll (the warm version) and the fried clams. Dara also offered samples of their Lobster Bisque and New England clam chowder.My food arrived to great anticipation. The lobster roll had ample amounts of fresh meat with a side of coleslaw. And the large pile of fried clams laid on a bed of fries. I was in food heaven upon my first bit of the lobster roll, with its succulent chucks of fresh lobster, warm toasted bun and butter! The clams, fried to perfection, were juicy and awesome with their homemade tarter sauce. The samples of the bisque and chowder were equally as tasty, but I must confess I’m partial to the chowder!I knew then how this hidden gem has garnished it’s high reviews. From it’s people like Dara to it’s menu, I will certainly be coming back often to Cousins Maine Lobster!!!PS: Before leaving , I ordered the lobster quesadilla and the Maine Lobster roll to go for dinner. The delicious experience lasted later that evening! They say bacon makes everything taste better, Maine lobster gives bacon a run for it’s money!!"

"The food was great, the atmosphere was wonderful. But the service was HORRIBLE. I didn’t get his name but according to the other employees he just started working there and it was his 4 day working. (For the company/customers wondering who he is). It’s a middle aged men who doesn’t have a whole lot of hair on his head top. When ordering we asked him if there is “Pho” which he replied to that he’ll drive to the nearest market and get it for us. At first we thought it was a joke and asked again and instead of saying ‘YES we have’ or ‘NO we don’t’ he started rudely asking if we know what Pho is even and where it came from. For a person who just started working he shouldn’t have this type of attitude. Mind you we let that slide and just kept ordering. After getting our drinks and it was time to order our food we asked him if it’s possible they can remove the spiciness some dishes like sushi rolls have for the kids. (Mind you some dishes have a red jalapeño picture next to it indicating it’s spicy). But he rudely turned to my kids who are teenagers and said “tell your mother that if there is a red jalapeño sign next to it. It means it’s spicy”. And he kept repeating that over and over when I was just trying to ask if they can take it off from the dish. I am a grown women who has 4 kids and I’ve been to a lot of asian restaurants. Some even though it indicates spicy on some dishes they can take it off if you ask. But AGAIN rather then saying ‘NO we can’t take it off” or ‘YES we can take it off” he just aggressively kept telling my kids to tell me that this sign indicates it’s spicy like I’m d and can’t understand him. He speaks good English and I do too but I admit there is some accents to it but that doesn’t give him the pass to treat me like I’m d and don’t understand anything. I was VERY offended and so were my family. We also encountered other issues but they weren’t that bad compared to this. I am a kind person and understanding and gives a lot of chances before they speak up but this behavior is UNACCEPTABLE. It will NOT profit the business hiring employees that are aggressive, racist, rude and hot headed. We did not have a pleasant experience even though the food was great. The only reason I’m even giving this a star is because of the food.Parking: Since this restaurant is still new in the market. Everyone is visiting it and I would recommend making a reservation before you go. We waited 30 min along with other 4 families that were in line."
