Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

The food was delicious. The biscuits have been revamped and are significantly better now.

Cracker Barrel consistently serves excellent food, particularly their chicken and catfish. However, the fried chicken salad could use some improvement as the piece of chicken served is quite small. This might be a common issue at many restaurants, but unfortunately, the service can also be lacking.

My waiter was Kevin. This fun, quirky, and kind guy. He made the experience there for me awesome! I usually feel uneasy going here but he made me laugh and always checked on my table to make sure we were fine. I definitely appreciate him. I loved the food it was great! I was shopping in the Cracker Barrel store and came across a sale on vinyl records. They were listed that everything was 2 for $25. I asked the cashier and she said yes everything in that section is 2 for $25. When I went to check out none of what I picked out from the sale section was on sale. The manager said it's the corporate office's fault. She had no discretion to sell me what I had selected at the sale price. I spent about an hour in Cracker Barrel and it was an hour totally wasted. So if you see something on sale you'd better not waste your time. Not very happy!

We visited Cracker Barrel again, but I haven't checked her yet, so I thought it was time. This was our first time the order of the Biscuit beignets and we were very happy, we decided to give them an attempt. The Beignets were great! They were hot and fresh and melted in our mouth. This was more like a dessert than an appetizer, but either they were great. I had the fried shrimps and my wife had pork chops and both of our meals were great. That was probably the best means we had in Cracker Barrel. In the past it was always decent, but this visit was great, maybe it was the ignets.

The food was not as good as we remembered in the past. Maybe we chose the wrong menu items, but the kids chicken tenders w/fries, fried shrimp plate, and hamburger steak w/ extras were all very, very overcooked and without much flavor. Everything looked like it was previously frozen from a bag, with nothing resembling home cooking. Our server seemed annoyed with being there, and getting drink refills and condiments was like pulling teeth. We left very full, but without the want to return. The sides portions were also very slim, so any hopes of taking home leftovers was non-existent. We always love browsing in the store, so that was the highlight of our experience. View menu
