"A disappointing experience. One member of our group had pasta that was so clumped together that she could only eat half of it. By the time we managed to get the waitress's attention, she offered to remake the dish, but we had already finished our meals. Additionally, she didn't offer a discount for the issue. We all ordered lunch specials, which were clearly advertised in several places at $14.95, yet each meal came out to a higher price than what was advertised. Unfortunately, nothing about today's visit would motivate me to come back."

"I’ve been coming to young’s my whole life and whenever I come back to my hometown of Yelm, I try to stop in. The service is always very fast and pleasant. Today we ordered hot tea, teriyaki beef with tempura, and tonkatsu chicken. The tempura here is too notch, I love that it comes with a thick sauce. My beef teriyaki was perfectly balanced in flavor. This is the best teriyaki in town and for a low price and consistently low wait times. Give young’s a try! Parking: Plenty of free parking. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, high chairs available."

"This review is based solely on the costumer service. This would have been a 2 star review if we were even able to eat there. We were greeted by I 'm told the owners wife. She maintained a sickly sweet smile during every exchange my party had with her. This place does not do reservations however a table that would have seated my party of 3 was already reserved. They just called and will be in shortly said the still smiling female. We stood around the front door for about 5 minutes until she approached us and offered to let us sit at the unoccupied bar, with the caveat that we will not be able to obtain a table if we sat at the bar for a drink. So we were directed to a small love seat looking couch past the bar to wait. This is when I approached the bar to order a beer for myself and a glass of wine for another in my party. The bar tender was about to serve me until the female server stoped him. I asked if it was a law or policy preventing me from ordering a drink while waiting. She said a policy due to different reasons. Due to the fact that she was maintaining the sickly sweet smile I though that she would be able to take a minor joke when I said your policy is inconvenient and I 'm not sure if I like it . She offered to seat us at the bar again and I declined saying we will wait for a table. She then said have a nice evening. I sat back down confused about the bizarre exchange when she motioned for the female in my party to approach so she can kick us out. The reason being was that she felt highly threatened by me and felt unsafe with me in the place. We felt an undertone of hostility from her from the moment we enter the place and felt that she was singling us out. This place is my friends favorite place and the food is great, it is unfortunate that this places is spoiled due to the behavior of a single overindulged server. The worst part of the whole exchange is that my friends have been coming to this place for years are where considered regulars."

"Excellent place for a date night dinner. My wife and I went here on the recommendation of a friend after seeing a movie at the Yelm cinema which is connected. Food was excellent it was a ton of fun watching them serve whisky in big vats of smoke (which I will totally be trying next time). My wife had the mushroom burger and I had the cowboy burger. Both were top notch and the fact that their meat all comes from Stewart’s meats locally is a major plus. Prices were fair for 2023 I do wish the burgers came on a larger plate with about twice as many fries as I think that would “make it worth $21” more so. On the specific night we went were DELIGHTED that the ambient music just happened to be the absolute perfect playlist for our Xennial Oregon trial generation demographic. We moved from Dave Mathews band to Blink 182 and everything else early 2000s. Of course the music was at an appropriately low volume so our nearing 40yr old ears weren’t in pain. Kid-friendliness: I think is 21+ full time as a bar. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible to all as the tables were far enough apart to get a wheelchair or scooter around nicely and no stairs or other issues. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Mushroom Swiss Burger, Free Popcorn"

"My first visit since new owner took over month ago. Ordered my usal 2 Seafood Pho, pork Bahnmi, and order of egg rolls. Dishes came out quick. Bahnmi and eggrolls were okay. As for the Pho, I must say it was first time ever since eating Pho for the past 30 years that Pho restaurant didn't have bean sprouts! It changed the whole taste profile! The broth, most important part of Pho was very plain and lacking in aromatics and palm sugar. The rice noddles were over cooked missing the springy texture and was breaking in to short pieces. When I asked for Sambal sauce, the two young waitress didn't know what I was talking about, she went back to the kitchen and brought me chile powder!!! I wished the waitress would have told me about the bean sprouts while taking my order, I would have not ordered Pho and ordered something else. Maybe this is a transitional period and new owners are settling in or my expectations were too high. I wish best for the new owner. I guess I have to go to Tumwater for high quality taste I've come to accustomed to..."
