"The ground beef dish and side salads were all delicious at this restaurant. One of the salads was a fantastic green chickpea combination, while the other was finely chopped cucumber and tomato topped with a jalapeño. I also ordered the "pumpkin" dish, which turned out to be butternut squash cooked perfectly. I added some cinnamon and pumpkin pie seasoning to enhance the flavor. The bread served was also very tasty."

The serving sizes are ridiculously small, especially so for the size. There is a better Afghan restaurant in the city with more authentic food, better taste, sizes, and better prices. View menu

Love, love, love this place. The beef and chicken kabobs were so tender and flavorful, the rice perfectly cooked, and the bread...let me just say, if you only had the bread and had to leave without dinner, you would still have had a great night.

Great Afghan cuisine (think of it as akin to Persian/Iranian cuisine but with some Indian and Central Asian influences) in a chill, clean setting with great service. The dishes are flavorful but not heavy/fatty at all. Try the mantoo and definitely share dishes with friends. I recommend pairing a savory meat dish with some great vegetable dishes. Don't be afraid to ask for recommendations.

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
